General Discussion / Re: Cancer(?)
Mon 29/05/2006 19:03:22
Though I only slightly knew someone with cancer, I am so sorry.
I wish there was more I could say, but there isn't. so I close with this haiku.

Time enough to cry
All we ever want is this
Time to say goodbye

I am so sorry.

dragon guy has grey because he weres an anti-gravity generator, he's from a light worlds so normal gravity would make him feel a tad heavy. I'll workk on one eyed chicken guys tail feathers
the bearded man is the captain, purple is the command colour, like red in star trek
the shoulder pads help signify rank, the blnde is a leutenant

from the screenshot, it seems, that it just might be just a copy of Maniac Mansion, that the tweedle has the gaul to call Maniac Mansion DELUXE. of course, that's also wrong.

That's it, which would you rather see spoofed. actually, my plan was not a spoof, I mean it would make fun of the universe, but it wouldn't spoof specific characters, like "Captain Jerk" for "captain kirk" or something like that. (its hard to spoof star wars names anyway, because they are just so silly already)

General Discussion / Star Wars or Star Trek?
Fri 26/05/2006 18:51:21
To answer your first question, NO, this is not a thread to start a flame war between the Trekkies and the erm...Warries? its a question to all the fans out there,( yes, we know who you are)as well as none fans, as to whether the star wars or star trek fans, have less  of a sense of humour, to put it bluntly, who would be more likely(or the first) to burn my house down if I made a game unofficially in these universes, but made fun of the universes conventions while at it. give you your reasons, and which you would prefer. oh, and hate me, hate me now.

When I think of England, I think of four things, tea, rain, monty python, and a weird perception of distances.

QuoteYou know the joke about the Pope who went to heavens, read the original original of the Bibles and almost fainted... ;)
one of my faves is the one how the pope went to heaven, and saint peter tells him that God was quite angry about his stance on woman priests, and pope John Paul II says, "He's mad? and saint peter says.... "She's FURIOUS!" ;D
sorry I love that joke. I agree that the later church was quite egotistical, but I think (from my own examination) that Jesus Ben Joseph, took a very liberal stance with women, compared to the leaders of his time, and for much, even to the present, history. I am greatly saddened how woman were disenfranchised, and I try to do my insignificant way to help. Woman may not be the same as men, but viva la diffrance!

Adventure Related Talk & Chat / Re: Name?
Fri 19/05/2006 18:23:01
When I write sci-fi (that is when, it includes aliens) I like to make the names give hints of the aliens voice, a beak would make more sharp sounds, Kraac KreeTor or for a creature a fat jowley creature, with tentacles over his mouth, Mulph Phumbuf. Since accents are tricky to present with text, and tend to degrade into stereotypes, I use names.

Seriously, if you want a next generation system on the cheap, buy a bunch of old processers, and other chips, and link them together somehow.(does any one know how to do that?) Use Unix or lynix as your operating system. then if you want windows, run an emulated version. ( I SO want to do that someday)

I agree with what your saying about fundamentalists, and such. Religion has been you used as the excuse for many of human histories worst atrocities. It greatly saddens me, because I think religion should be a force to help people, like what world vision does
