I know whenever I am trying to create a walk animation I can't get it just right. Well have no fear, lookie what I stumbled across today.

It's perfect for getting the walk animation you desire for all sorts of people.

Well the first thing I did when I got AGS was to fiddle around with various buttons. I then drew 2 backgroudns, the inside and outside of a house, and you found a key under the doormat and entered the hosue. Once I had done this I deleted it all and started fresh with my first project - POINT BLANK

Point Blank was an idea I thought up out of laziness. How can I have a player character that requires no animating... so i thought "why not a flying robot". I then though that robots are more in the future so I made a sci-fi game out of it. An evil computer virus accidently slipped into a maintenace droid whilst unloading some cargo from a ship. You are kidnapped blah blah blah. I gave up once I lost everything when my computer died on me.

Demo - This was all that got made.

Since then I've done numerous projects including blue death, a murder mystery type game. The Zero Hero, still in production. Jingle Bells, my MAGS winning entry for xmags. And am currently making a pirate game. wooo be amazed.

Something you have to remember as well, I learnt the hard way, is when using lights in a background, within the game should have an effect on the character e.g will turn into a silohutte. Best to check if things still work before going ahead with backgrounds. Apart from that it all looks fine, always nice to see your work.

thanks, works a treat

Has anyone got any pointers how I can hide the GUI and make it appear when a key is pressed. The only thing that comes to mind is if any key is pressed, that key is stored into a variable, the GUI turns on and then that variable is placed in the textbox. This would work, but how would I have an "if any key A-Z is pressed"?

You need to find the hebrew font that is lying around, and when you import it choose the hebrew (right to left) option from the game settings tab.

Yea, I'm happy with my A5 Wacom Volito. Remember that all wacoms have a relative screen aspect ratio so size doesn't really matter, and thickness of brush all depends on pressure of the pen. The only reason you really need anything bigger than a5 is if you plan to use the tablet for a lot of tracing.

Just for you I went and got drunk on monday ;) today however I remade my template to be easier to use and compatible with AGS version 2.7 and above.

Yes I did make it a while back, and thank you Ashen for bringing it up... :/

I have no internet at home at the moment and have been looking for a project. Now I am more confident with AGS I could update it... or I could go out to the pub tonight and get completly wasted.....

Either sounds good, but if you are truley in need of help I shall attempt. Nice to see I'm mentioned ^_^

I remember the good old days when AGS was still Dos based and the forums ran of ezboard.

I remember when the word n00b was infrequent and everyone seemed to know each other to a certain extenet.

I rememebr when games were released frequently.

I remember when Pumaman was known as CJ.

Ahh...

My friend is studying animation at Ravensborne which is an art college or university or something in Kent. Apparently they are very well known and respected in animation type courses.

I occasioanly have me as my avatar. But the idea about an avatar is it can be whatever you chose. So if people want to know what I look like there's probably some mittens photos floating around.

I got 24 rounds, very enjoyable little game, funny how it's an almost lose lose situation. Although I started out pretty rough i think I got to about $150 before being wiped out my the army or something.

Two words... Lex Luthor

Best villain ever. C'mon he had no real powers and he stood up to Superman, yes the man of steel himself! But like all super-villains he always fell just short of succeeding.

Another good supervillain would be Darth Vader, but he wasn't all that evil, he turned good at the last minute, he started out good, he wasn't even the real bad guy, just their henchman.

Well I'm working on a pirate game at the moment, but it's moving along slowly because it's kinda a side project. I'm using Pirates of the Carribean as inspiration for locations and such, although it isn't a POTC game.

Also I believe custard is working on a pirate game of some kind.

I like the idea of MMORPG, 2 planets and kinda a space race thing.
