Seriously I would be up for contribution to this, I have read a lot of the posts and agree to some extent with Esper (online could work just fine in early days).

I remember me and Miez discussing something like this at Brittens. Plan out the game idea all online, meet for a week in some rented building ro even someone's garage / house and just make the game. Obviously if there where people who live relitvley close together it would make things easier as working solo and meeting up on the occasion.

I'm arachnaphobic ever since an incident 2 years ago. It was while I was sleeping. I woke up because something fell on my face, and into my mouth, 2 legs were pulling something out of my open mouth.

That was the worst experience of my life.

Scared the hell out of me when i woke up.

Well just got back from the midnight opening with huge success. We had maybe 30 or 40 people come in for it. Very very busy rushing around getting everything for everyone.

For the midninght sales we had people queueing since 10:30.

Real sell shokers - Ridge Racer (lots of orders hardly any takers, perhaps during the day) and Snooker suprisingly.

Any way I must sleep I have to be in up 5 hours for work AGAIN.

Will post more as I know.

Chick Chaser was good.

I also enjoyed Yahtzee's game but didn't get hooked like with his other games, don't know what was lacking.

Ben Jordan was good, looking forward to 5.

Well tomorrow is the 1st of September and I know many people are anxious to get hold of them. I myself am not, but do appreciate the technology. I'm just about to get ready to head down for the midnight launch at my shop for all the die hard fans who can't let me sleep and must have it now. So I must put on my smiley face and sell to the few who need to get it now.

Just posting to really see if anyone is waiting to get one, I know our store alone took about 180 deposits for day one alone.

Also any Japanese or American AGSers, what do you think of the machines?

And if you read this post tomorrow after buying one yourself, what do you European's think of them. Anyway, must go make some coffee. Will post back tomorrow about 7pm after I finish working.

Cheerio.

If you're travelling with CJ there will be more than just drugs up there.

I really wish I could go to both, but I shall see how my budget stretches. I'm saving for a new graphics card and various other thigns, but I shall see.

I do like a good detective game and I'm currently playing Moment of Silence. If you really want to know a good detective film watch - "Basil the great mouse detective".

They always come to the rescue at the last minute, can blend in to any surrounding, have a wide knowledge of science and very keen observation skills.

It is called Wellies

I can probably only make Mittens, if there was a Brittens back at Laleham I could definatley make at least a day, but Welshland is ever so far away and I fear it is too far for just one day. But who knows.

Dates sound good, i've missed two years (I know I can't believe you've had 2 whole mittens without your loveable magintz with you).

I shall be there come rain or shine...*

*note: i may not actually be there....**

**note: I'll really really really try with all my leprechaun charm

I don't know if anyone here at the forum have seen it but Joe White, one of the animators of Lucas Arts (or maybe ex-animator of LEC, not sure) have published a couple of animation clips from the cancelled Sam & Max: Freelance Police. Apart from the shots from the E3 trailer there are a couple of characters walking, one with Max shaving his butt in a office shredder (bet you will find this hilirious like me) and a clip of Sam & Max perform some groovy dance moves on a college disco (my favorite).

Watch and enjoy (and maybe laugh your guts off too)!

Cool I haven't seen these. I'll add this to the Sam and Max 2 Cancelled Thread on the poular forums.

This game sounds interesting, I may have to give it a go. Downloading now.

Cool, I would say something more but I kind of need a demo or completed game to upload first ^_^

Still, that is pretty cheap. Perhaps RyanAir fly to one of the airports near Benidorm, but that can wait. First we really need to choose dates.

What we really need is to have a big vote, Summer or Easter and then plan the dates around that.

The dates I chose for Easter flights was flying out Goof Friday, I imagine it would be much cheaper to fly another week during Easter.

same. Nice topic btw, but would like to see these images.

In the UK a standard Easter break is two weeks, while for us University students it can differ between 2-4 weeks.

According to about.com; lent begins March 1, 2006. Easter is Sunday, April 16, 2006. Which means that most people who have two weeks off will break up a week before and return the week after.

Cons - Religious time of year for many people, you could be in a foreign country for Easter instead of with the family etc... August is a general time when most people are on summer vacation, while Easter is a little trickier when organising dates.

Pros - Cheaper, more likely able to book time off work in Easter especially with Good Friday and Easter Sunday being day's off for almost everyone. Less Tourists.

I still vote for Easter, that way when I get a Summer Job, I won't have to take time off work, or even quit. Easter is right before exam period, but a week off out of a general two - three shouldn't be devestating, everyone can do with a rest. Coursework as Shen said will also be a big issue with me but I still feel confident I can get it done and out the way before/after the trip.

I agree that at least 4 month's is needed to book this as many of us have to get flights, and especially if it is going to be in August.

As for August dates, someone should look into flight prices now, check out when in August is cheapest.

EDIT:- Well I've been proven wrong, flights from London to Alicante from April 15th for a week where £150, while August 15th was only £120. This is probably due to there being more flights available. The April one was from Heathrow, while the August one was from Gatwick (cheapest options for each choice)

Perhaps it is better to stick with August, we just better book everything early enough.

Was that the one where you had to save the dolphins or something?

I remember playing a small part of the game, but not much of it.
