General Discussion / Re: Good pay Webspace?
Fri 05/08/2005 09:59:35
I used http://www.switchweb.co.uk as I found them cheap and easy to set up. Plus the guy who owns it goes to my Uni and it was easier going for that than trawling through thousands of sites.

I know I only get about 1gb of transfer a month but when I signed up I didn;t have any games. My maximum I've transfered is 750mb and that was with all my Brittens photos.

Damn, this title got me both outraged and annoyed. I Read the title and being in an adventurey state of mind whilst browsing these forums instantly thought "Beneath a steal sky... gone.... and good riddance?!?!!"

Gladly I was relieved to find it was't a typo in the title (Bass instead of BASS). Way to go Florida, lets hope some other places pick up on this innitiative.

lol, very funny. I particularly like all the facial expressions.

I hope to enter, make it good for us :D

i've been having problems with my tablet, but I hope i can finish tonight.

Eggie, I love your style and your humour, great work.
All other entries are great as well, I doubt mine will win, but I just need some practice with my tablet / drawing (not)skills.

EDIT: I finished it off, it's not the best but it's the first thing i've really used my tablet for.

When drawing a cave probably some things to remember might be this:

- Stalagmite and stalagtite (animate drips at the end)
- Pools of water
- Lots and lots of rocks
- Bats?
- Create it to appear dark, If you've ever been in a real cave you will know that without a torch or match you will not see anything not even your hand a millimeter from your hand.

It might be a good idea as well to add siloette shapes of stalagmite in the front most foreground of the picture to make it seem less empty and the flashlight plugin could be handy as well for a caved room.

But like Mr Peepwood said, have a go first and then we'll help you to improve, If I have some spare time I may quickly sketch something up for your imagination.

What a coincidence I was thinking not more than 10 minutes ago if Yahtzee has made or is making another game.

Voting was tough, but I think I got to a conclusive vote.

Well done to all competitiors I enjoyed the games very much (some more than others, some equally), I hope to participate next time, but who knows.
#551
when does voting close?
#552
Bout half way through the games, hope I can complete them all in time for voting, whenever it is.
#553
damn, how am I going to compete with that.... with colour and rubber chickens!!!1 and err. lasers, and penguins and pirates!

I'll enter this, I fancy trying my skills with my new graphics tablet I got the otehr day.

Watch this space for Captain Fantastic and his legion of do-gooders! Name could change, but this sounds funny :P

EDIT: Didn't appeal to me when I started to draw, so I'm doing the following:

The adventures of Captain Threepwood and his arch-nemisis Mechanical Murray!

I dunno, I think this game is gonna rawkz
#556
This has been bought up many times before, and porting to PPC I imagine would be easier (windows environment).
#558
Sorry guys, looks like i'm gonna be unable to get this done... way too ambitious for a week, especially this week :P

I may get round to finishing it.
#559
perhaps there was then... i made that a long time ago and it seemed a plausable explanation.

The more people interested in adventure games the better, which means more commercial adventures and more amateur ones too :D
