I'm tryig to create a chat window, I have got a string for the name of the person speaking called name, the text they have typed called input and two other variables called begin and end which will surround the name variable with <> so it should appear like this:

<Magintz>  Yo, Dudes

Here is the relavant code:

   {GetTextBoxText(PARSER,1,input); //This gathers the text from the text-box in GUI 0, and from Object1 and to store it in the predefined string "input"
StrCopy (end, ">  ");
StrCopy (begin, "<");
ListBoxAdd(4,0,begin && name && end && input);

I think the problem is with the && and how it can't add more than one variable, or it could be with the strcopy as I have never used that command before.

Call of Duty (united offensive is WAY better than the normal one)
Star Wars Galaxies (great MMORPG)
Monkey Island as always
Golden Sun (GBA)
Chrono Trigger (SNES)

I could make the list go on, but they're my all time fav's that I will always love.

I've drawn Dart, which was the easy part, now I gotta find a scanner.... hmmm, perhaps I'll keep it to myself mwahahahahaha, or find a scanner and share it with the world.... it's late and I need coffee...

I've seen his passport so I can confirm his name is Chris Jones, although James Bond did have about 8 passports, and have you ever seen the Bourne Identity?

What is so special about Bluecups, or are they a diversionary tactic to draw our attention away from the real scandel?

Wow, some great C+C as well as help.

I think Darth Mandarbs one is the best, although walk-behinds would be a real pain, Although I am using a plain black stick-figure I'm not sure how that would work (would I even need walk, behinds)

Also I'm tempted to add in what Frisby said, maybe some skew effect to make everything seem really big and at a looking-up perspective

It occured to me the other day that bluecups are everywhere in modern life, and especially tv and film. Either Chris is doig some sneaky advertising promotions or it's just coincidence, believe what you wantÃ,  ;)

What arose my suspicions:
1) Chris does AGS for free, could there be some hidden agenda for it?
2) Conspiracy Theory (saw that the other night - makes you think)
3) If there is a hidden agenda like brain washing he would need to get as many people as possible to use it.
4) Who here worships Chris like a god? .... Exactly!

Anyway, back to business...

What I want you to do is report back with any sightings of Bluecups in films or tv programmes, state what the show is and where the cup was (if it had a lead role, state it)

I'll start you off with one I saw the other day:

TV Show/Film: Friends (TV) - The one where they go to the summer place and Ross and Rachel get back together after Ross owns up to everything in Rachels letter.
Place: In Central Perk on Coffee table
Info: Quite an old episode back when AGS was still in its infancy (or even before that). This sighting is probably just coincidence or is that what Chris (if that is his real name) wants us to think.

Thanks, I've been trying to keep it very noir, and the only reason I added the smudge was to make it seem more "dreamlike". Whenever I dream I know nothing is that clear or crisp, so I wanted it to appear hazy, no fine detail, no nothing really. Just plain and simple. I don't feel happy leaving it as clear as Edit 1, but I think Edit 2 isn't right.

I can totally understand what you are saying but feel that something needs to be done, if any artists out there can help I would much appreciate it.

Thanks HWG for the c+c

sob, if only i wasn't going to uni in september, then i would have been able to spend my savings.....

Oh well, I think University is a slightly more important investment of my hard earned pennies, although if I dont get the grades I need I'll have £2000+ for Oz next year and a whole year of working to earn even more money for uni.

Edit 1:

Edit 2:

What do you think? The only thing I need to add are the boxes, still need to plan this out though.

Which one looks best? Does it look like a dream? How could I make it more of a childhood memory/flashback?

Thanking you in advance

Critics' Lounge / Re: Dream Scene c+c needed
Sun 25/07/2004 23:00:02
thanks, the idea was to be black and white definatley, as for the askew 2d style with poor perspective that was to make it seem out of place and hazy and add to the mystique although i have my doubts about it being a 3d room with an up and down area with 2d objects, i'll try something else, maybe a charcoal sketch.

I was thinking that the background needed more to it, but I wanted it to be a hazy, surreal yet simplistic dream, any thoughts?

Critics' Lounge / Dream Scene c+c needed
Wed 21/07/2004 19:32:11
Well I'm trying to make a childhood nightmarish dream sequence that is a flashback of a tormented childhood (yes I know very cliché but....... shut up... k :))

Anywho.... I need some c+c to get the mise en scene (the way things are placed around the room and how the atmosphere reflects the mood) just right

Hints & Tips / Re: aaron out of the cave
Thu 15/07/2004 10:07:01
I think you have to knock on the ship on the screen to the right or something and theres also a herd of sheep and a cave to the left that have some significance.

Can't remember, haven't played in a while.

thanks, i'm trying hard to get a perfik demo of this game out by the end of the month and still have a few rooms to do and to go back and correct some dialog as it all seems to not make sense.

Hopefully i'm looked at a beta by the 20th with a full release on the 27th
