Have you ever seen a film called Mercury Rising?

I know it's a late mention but I'm hoping to tag along for a day or two to say hey. I'm about 90% sure I will be there for a day or two. Bring a sleeping bag for myself and crash anywhere there is floor space. I'll buy a couple of crates of beer to compensate for my sleepage in the place, if people are cool with the sound of that.

If people are happy/unhappy with this let me know as I don't have much holiday left this year hence the stay for such a short time.

Anybody here enjoy this game as much as I do?

Yes, it's truly a magical game. Very, very addictive.

(I seem to only play this game when spring and summer come)

I always seem to end up playing Pirates! in the summer and occasionally RCT. But usually for me it's the first RCT. I still think I prefer the game.

This is probably not of interest to you, but I put together a simple module to allow more natural dialogue through the text parser. A thread about it is here

I kept getting errors visiting that link but I assume you're referring to the Conversation Simulation Module if anyone has similar problems with the clicky-clicky :)

For those who don't know yet the second episode has been announced by Tier himself! Go look, drool and wait expectantly.

I don't know about the rest of the people but is anyone really tied to busy school summer holidays? Just an idea but wouldn't earlyish September be cheaper and still very warm if we choose the right place.

That was horribly annoying I couldn't stand listening to it for more than a minute or so. I'm sure this spoony guy is an acquired taste :P

I, too, prefer the cup on the right side ... for some reason it just fits for me.

Agreed... it looks more complete and wholesome. As for the new designs I'm partial to the third and fourth. I think it will be a case of you making a judgement call on which you prefer and whether or not the shadow works.

Looks awesome. Just not sure about the title. I think it might be the font or perhaps it's too simple for how rich the rest of the page is.

I just wrote my own function to perform Sierra style speech to have a lot more flexibility. I wrote it all to initiate upon player.Speak. This could potentially bypass any issues you want as it's your own GUI.

Sorry if this doesn't help, I'll post some code when I'm not tired and/or away from home.

You all sound like sexy, exotic movie-stars to me  :=

Wow sounds good. I do like the idea of going slow. Perhaps release it episodic. Starting with the alphabet or similar. Definitely include lots of pictures to help. Try to use everything in a sentence. It makes learning grammar a secondary thing to learning pronunciation and words.

Perhaps use jigsaw like drag and drop slider puzzles to arrange words into proper grammatical sentences. Or Matching images to phrases.

B sounds good. I think it's more the approach schools take. You need to pass your exams before you can continue. If someone is using this to learn then this would be the preferred option. But if someone is lkooking for a reference or as a study guide then option a would be preferred.

What's to stop you doing both and letting the user choose what level they can play if they want? Ask them at the start.

Biggest advice of all... have a theme song :)

Yay. Downloading now. I've been looking forward to seeing the final product.

Nice! Looks like a fun island! There's also a Monkey Island on the river thames, but looks less fun...

Yea I was just about to mention this. It's about 10 miles or so from my house.

Cool!
Have you actually been on that island?

A few times. There are plenty of trees and a hotel. Really un-impressive.
