I'm really liking the idea for the story, and yes, the names are great! I'll update this post when I've tried the demo :)

Thanks for the great comments! :)

Yeah, progress is slower than I wanted it to be, but I'm putting every spare minute (and a  fair few that aren't spare! ;) ) into this, so I really hope that shows in the end...

Hopefully some time near Christmas I will be able to invest a few weeks in solid development too, as by that point I should have shifted some uni work!

BUMP! with a couple more screenies:

Hope this whets your appetites! :)

Development is slow, but progress is certainly being made...

Loved it, I really did. The animations are very good!

Frustrated when I got to the end of it, though. I wanted to play more... :(
#365
That seems to have worked, thanks! :)

Clicking a hotspot that takes the player to a new room. Then this error occurred. This is right at the beginning of my game, something I've been working on for over a year in it's current form. This particular hotspot has been functioning perfectly for all that time.

Obviously the error is game-breaking.

Help please.

EDIT: This error occurs on all room changes, but with different program pointer values.

I really like the clean, simple style. Can't wait for this! :)

Oh, and Duals, shut up and finish your damn game already. Graphics don't make the game. I love your art for H2G2.

Okay,point taken

*Takes Snakes gun off his face*

You are always saying how others can draw better than you! You may not get everything looking perfect, but your art certainly doesn't lack imagination! Surely that is what matters most?

On the subject of imagination, Snake's graphics look great! I like how the lighting and uniqueness of each scene has clearly been important...

I must get round to playing the first one of these, the graphics for that weren't bad, either! :)

I love the way you've shown the inside of the wall on the first screen shot to the left. That's a really neat stylistic touch (that's if I haven't misinterpreted it...)

Well done, and good luck on getting it finished! :)

Oh, very exciting, good luck talking about ALL this person's games... ;)

Yeah, as I said in the Resonance thread, these are great interviews. Really interesting! Good job.

Who are you planning to talk to next? ;) at what point will you have to interview yourself...?

I think go more with changing the side view to fit the front rather than the other way round?

Her eyes need to be slightly longer so they come round the face a tad more in the side view. Same goes for the cheeks... They both curl up a lot, which is making her look older and more severe than the front view. Also, if you make her nose a little bit more upturned and less prominent that should help too.

Still, it really is a lovely sprite! :) Well done!

Off-topic, yes, I will interview more AGS folks. I'm out of clues with who's supposed to be second..but no wait..I think I do have a clue.. ;)(If I can't walk what am I?)

I'm a little confused! :D Glad you are doing more, though!

And to get this back on-topic: Resonance looks incredible! I'm really excited by the attention to detail in the interface, etc. Also, I love sci-fi particle physics stories, they take my mind off the real stuff! :D

Really hope you get some money raised too, that should give the project another boost! And it'll get to us all that little bit quicker!

Great interview, I really enjoyed it!

They were both good, actually. Are you doing any more and who with? :)

And since I'm not a huge talent by nature, I have to go all the long way and learn it all from the beginning ;).

Even people with huge talent have to learn from the beginning... ;) I could start a debate here and now about whether "natural talent" even exists, or whether some people just have a personality more suited to learning a certain skill... I don't know if many people are just born with a perfect understanding of composition and lighting, for example! ;)

So I think, therefore, you have pretty substantial talent!

The inventory interface is far too complex. All the buttons and things are very swish, though. Well done! :)

I'm afraid the graphics arent going to wow you :p

I'm just trying to make the graphics look 'right'.. as long as the perspective is right then i think ill be ok.

Fair enough! To be honest, if the writing and voice-acting are good and the graphics give it the right feel, no one will mind. Well, I won't, anyway...

Also, if it's a long project, you will learn on the way, and hopefully your graphics will get better! :) (even better, really!)

I was really impressed by the cutscene! :)

It's looking good. Great writing, solid graphics - if not really great in parts, and some really convincing voice-acting.

I'm adding this to my list of AGS games I'm watching! :)

Add a little bit of up and down motion to the big one, too. Just one pixel. If it's an old cog system you've fixed (in an adventure game, that's fairly likely!) it should look authentic then....
