The red gem was in the locked box. (not the purple)
The purple gem is in the attick in the puzzle machine.
Did you solve the puzzle?
BTW I'll fix it so that you can't dig up the locked box again...

Throughout the whole game script LoseInventory(47) (small key) is only written once.
You should either have the red gem, the key, ot maybe you didn't get the cat?

  No, I got the cat long ago.  I have all the gems but the purple one in the machine by the cloud.  I have done everything except say the spell under the cloud which I assume will not work without the purple gem which apparently I had at one time since I had the box open at one time.  The key, the gem, and the box had disappeared from my inventory, but when I went back to where I got the box, I was able to dig it back up.

  I had the lockbox, but then it was missing from my inventory.  Somehow I was able to dig it back up.  But now, the key to open it is missing from my inventory and I don't remember where I found it the first time.  The door that I used it on is unlocked.

  It seem like you somehow turn the spider into the white gem, but I don't remember exactly how.  It has been awhile since I did that part.

I've attached the rope to pin and machinery, picked up ant and blue gem,Ã,  tried to use button and tiny hole with no effect, tried to dig under sign - but it won't let me, whatever should I be doing?[\hide]

Let's see.  You have to use the other end of rope on the pin on the tree and then throw stone at the machinery to get pin.  Pin helps you get inside.  I think this is correct

What would it take to get some help on the fish puzzle?  My first born is old enough to offer (hehehehe).  I have shrinking potion but cannot figure the fish out.  I have the number from the fishes butt, and the number from the T.V. room.  Neither work on his teeth.  PLEASE, I am ultra stuck!!

after placing seeds and water,umm i went into the room on the left and turned on the light. for some reason, my plant didnt grow so i turned it off and on again and went back in and ...tada!!it grew.

yeah that was a pixel hunt but by the shelf helped, i got wrapped up in that "top shelf" hotspot.Ã,  I, like marlamoe, did not get the potion tho...I put al the ingredients in the chimney...for saltwater he said "i hope this passes as salt water.Ã,  th water in the pot is pink now, but shes not offering any up

you don't have to be tiny to get the hair. The hair is tiny and hard to find.
It is close (not in) to another shelf. "Witch shelf?" well, that's up to you to find out!Ã,
