Thanks for the links Anas,
I loved the demos and I'll give it a try for sure! Is it free? Been doing some traditional art recently (check it here, I've got a painting of our beloved Ghost!!! because I missed the natural feel and roughness of the paper and materials but this software looks pretty cool and fluid. It makes me want to try oil painting again but without the expensive colours and time consuming.

Well, just found out that my computer's too old to run it, I get a exception_acess_violation shit...

Shaun, nice of you to make a game based in good old Portugal, I think Mudlarks was pretty cool even with my dislike of photographic graphics so this one should be good as well.
Just a tip: you should consider a font with extended accents, Portuguese is full of it, like Ola should be Olá if you want it properly written.

P.S: did I just write "Portuguese is full of it"?

Yeah but the female voices are several levels better than the male ones, I guess it was a budget issue rather than a intentional "avant-garde" artistic choice  although the forum feminists here will be delighted.

I got lost inside the building with the tall pillars and it took me a while to solve that trunk puzzle but in the end I kind of knew the compass was the key. Nice touch having to reverse engineer a compass! I learned something playing this game.
Good job guys!

PS: I got the guy wearing shorts ending, I'd love to know what other players had!

I agree, great setting and lovely graphics! My November entry is way behind schedule, some painting work got in the way and I have to get it finished first. Don't know if I can make it this month.

QuoteAre you changing the gender of my little girl in retaliation for Miguel referring to you as "she" in the Games Page? :P

A He, a She, what's the big deal? The importance of being AprilSkies is all it matters. :=

And now we are 3.

Contrast is the key, Darth speaks like a true wise Portuguese man but free from the anatomic transformation it occurs to wise Portuguese man.

Well, I'm in again. Why not? Am I addicted to Mags ?I wouldn't say that but my privates were itching since the last day of October. Could be something else like the treponema pallidum bacteria but I think it's game-making-related.

These bloody Portuguese talented people! Hmph!

November 3, 2055,

I can't believe this is really happening! I'm sitting at the top of this slope, grabbing 15 gallons of water in one arm and a shotgun in the other. Under me are provisions for what I hope 2 months. I'm not alone, there should be around 3 dozen people close by. I know all of them. And, of course, my wife and my son are right here next to me.
Down there it's a pathetic apocalyptic scenario: hundreds of people, drooling white rage-like saliva, slowly walking towards this crematory buildings made by the army guys. The soldiers direct the infected people with long rods, it's dead easy, they push on one side and they'll quietly obey. In silence. They just don't care or even know they're about to die.
It all started on the Halloween day early in the morning: the news started covering some weird events happening on the southern coastal towns. People that ate fresh seafood were infected by a virus. Feeling sick and queuing at the hospitals for treatment, the first hours were pretty similar to a bad flu but 6 to 8 hours later the patients would loose their conscience, sanity and humanity. Zombies. Everybody that was near them got infected as well.
That first day was like the end of the world, it looked like everybody was turning and we would be next pretty soon! The TV said, by the end of the day, that 60,000 people were already infected and people in the surrounding towns were told to evacuate and move north.

The government soon discovered that the incubation time for the virus was fatal to healthy people but after they turn the virus would no longer spread. A contamination area was delimited and the military quickly contained the virus.
They also begun to dispose of the infected, non-treatable(???) people.

I don't know what to feel as I watch these people being killed. Some people said they bite, but I didn't see it not even once. Yesterday I went on to buy food and walked right in the middle of them, like they didn't noticed me. The police were leading them through the main street like sheep, some cop was loosing it and killed one of the zombies with his stick. The other infected didn't even notice. So, I guess they're peaceful, right? Shouldn't doctors or scientists try to heal them? Study them?

I don't know, all I care is that I'm safe and my family as well and that soon they'll all be gone. Right?

I was beginning to turn into a zombie while nobody noticed, not even my charming colleague sitting next to me...

Or maybe it was the beer, I can't remember...

Also, by that time I wasn't able to button my shirt right but I guess it's part of zombie-turning symptoms...

I love the way you think, Mandle. Well, you got me right on most of the things you said although its the experimental side that I'm actually loving doing. I want to surprise myself and will keep on this series until I manage to do it. There's a lot of stuff I want to do graphically that I haven't tried yet like the C64 sequence and other colour schemes.
I have big plans for the story and life of Muriel but can't really say if it's ever going to happen, mutilating animals is part of it, I'm afraid.

I'm posting some stuff about your latest game later on. Pretty cool, btw.

Thanks for playing Cassiebsg, if it failed to you that you got the wire after the phrase: "Hmmm...This wire..." then I think I have to lower the difficulty of my minimalistic puzzles. The other stuff is either intentional or being fixed. Thanks.
Fixed some stuff already, thanks Cassie.
