So, crates they are. Sad. A table cloth would be useful if we have to dine out there in the cold under the stars.
I imagine the cloth nicely placed on a grassy knoll, 3 cans of assorted fish forming a triangle of perfect proportions, 3 lit candles forming another triangle only this time it's opposing the other thus creating a diamond shape area where, lit in all its glory, we would place The Lamp!

>smash crates

Is that a table covered with a cloth on the left? It also looks like crates, but I can see a pattern. I mean the one with the big crucifix on top. If so:

>lift table cloth

also:

>search better under the table where the bible is

Hans is the name.
Hans...Solo?

I've been reading this topic with great interest.
Can I add a question as well?
Should dialogues include remarks?
Example: Chet: (laughs uncomfortably) Well, I think it’s time for another drink, don’t you think?
         Vivian: (smiling) Delightful.

When displaying character faces one can add visual clues, but with traditional MI dialogue on top of head it gets complicated, even with different talking animations. What do you think?

While this is getting pretty interesting, I still believe we could grab some canned food and search better under the table.

> get canned food (enough not to overburden)
> search the tent better

While we wait we could:

>tap dance because nobody's watching!
>glaze in wonder at the structure of the tent;
>sit and meditate;

I like the idea. The player builds his own adventure as he chooses what and who he was/done. Sounds good.
Replay value for sure.

If we are indeed a were-mummy we should use super senses to our advantage...

> lick shreds of cloth
> smell shreds of cloth

...hoping to find traces of blood or soup.

And yet, with or without religion or politics, mammals like us have an average lifespan of 1M years and in the past 400 years nearly 100 species went extinct.
Scientist observed that a specie has some internal knowledge of when its final moments are near, they sense the population decrease and when that happens, individuals become erratic and will harm others of the same specie, often infants.
I too wonder why humans have that temptation to the abyss, the dooms-day scenarios. Maybe its written in our DNA.
Genetic manipulation has the possibility to change things like no other specie on Earth ever will. But messing around with DNA could eventually transform humans into something that can be non-human as we know it. New Humans could and most likely would assume that they are the real thing and colonize Real Humans as a mean to survive and prosper.

Hm, the letter does tell us that he is missed and loved back home. But not much more. And the fact that he knows from experience that the radio is a pain to carry around maybe means that he is a communication operator?
His history should be interesting to know, maybe to find out if there's something in his past that lead him to be in this strange situation.

But most important, and I remember Ghost's post, right before the Alamo, that we should know what was our mission/assignment at this digging site in Algeria.

Quote> remember job assignment

10 pages after someone thinks about this!
Ghost, you are clearly the voice of reason.
Yeah, it should be really great if we knew what kind of mission these troops are here for!
And what about his personal details about life? Like age, town of birth, is he married?

> remember upbringing

YEAH! Rub tent until we are sent into the klinex of oblivion!
#1377
Something happened in this tent. Something violent!
A fierce Cursed Mummy tries to sneak in the tent, soldiers shoot randomly out of panic, bullets hitting the stone-like figure but falling short on the shifting desert sands.
But, although my accurate description of the events do bring some light to this, some things remain unclear and the aftermath shrouded by foggy dilemmas...
If the Evil Pharaoh Mummy succeeded in killing all the soldiers, where are them? Where is the blood?
Did the soldiers chased after the Headless Mummy?
Did the Limping Mummy drag the soldiers to a near catacomb?
And if it did, why did it leave the tablets and artefacts untouched?
a)because it is a trap? Whoever gazes upon the tablets gets a eye infection and becomes forced to forever wear a monocle?
b)because the mummy can't read and fails to see the importance of the tablets?
c)because the tablets are worth shit?

So many question and so few clues...
#1378
No,no,no,no!
No!

Who are we here? Freekin Gutenberg? The place was clearly overrun by werewolves or evil mummies and we are to make printable editions of some tablets we can read and take mental notes about it?
Since we're here, and the shred marks are here, there's no harm examining them, is it?
But no! We have to go all the way back, and take a 5 minute intense course on printing with bloody RIBBONS!
Jesus!
Adolf's moustaches must be swirling with despair right now!

p.s: and Pickelhauben sprees are only done with large quantities of schnapps!

If it wasn't for the pixels I would say "Double Impact", but with the pixels I'm completely lost.
