Thanks TheAwesome,
if I knew RyanTymothy was doing such a long and beautiful animation I would put down some more frames as well just to keep the gratuitous violence a bit longer :)
Well, congratulations to Ryan and Questionable (nice choice of  "air" color ;))

Thanks Ben,
it's easier to get trophies when you don't participate :)
Congratulations to StrangeVisitor and ShonenAi!

It could be based on "The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym" by Edgar Allan Poe: It's about an ill-fated sea voyage, it has a fantastic ending and many traits that can be used in an adventure game setting, like strange symbols and riddles. Maybe it's a bit ambitious for one month, but it's still great inspiration, and describes many puzzles aboard a ship, like hiding from mutineers and staying alive below deck. The whole novel is available here:
The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket
Dont't be scared by the dull title - it's one of the most thrilling texts ever written :)

I've read that book some years ago, the edition  came with another story (Gogol's "The nose"), and I think it could work.
Not only the ending is of the fantastic nature but all of the story is set on a fantastic/surreal mood.
I remember skinny and tall characters and obese burgeon woman on grassy knolls (how good is that?).
But, IMO, I would go for Poe's Vampire texts instead of that one.

When posting, use a spelling and grammar checker if you are not comfortable with English

Some of us non-English speakers make big mistakes when writing, mostly because we write words the same way we pronounce them. It can put people away from your posts and ideas.
This is a free site that doest that in seconds: spellcheckplus.com

Ok, sorry about that.

I guess I better let it rest while pumaman solves the server issues.
I'll check later

it seems if you added a game after a certain date it doesn't show anymore  :-\

Hmmm, ok then, I'll just add it again. thanks

Edit: Editing my profile didn't help and the game IS registered on the Games Page. Any hint?

Does "My Games" got messed up now like in 2006?
I can see everybody's games on their profile but I can't see mine.

Edit: as to speed issues everything is normal to me now

That is correct, even if you make the fourth Monkey Island and be aproved by George Lucas himself.

Sorry, bad joke... ;D

I'm having the same problems here, sometimes it gets really slow to load pages (1minute).
In general all is slower than usual.

Awesome work Ryan Timothy! :)
Great fun to watch this animation!

Good luck with this project, must be a pain to code something like a RTS.
I advise you to spend some time on the Critics Lounge, the guys over there (like Ben) are good artists and always willing to help.
keep it going :)

Amazing graphics! Downloading now. I'll Edit this post to tell you what I think.
Congratulations :)

Edit: Played the playable intro ( nice way to get into the mood ) and started chapter 1.
So far it looks and feels great, really, it feels LUCASARTS all the way.
I'll edit more when I finish it.
Ah, I like the interface, it's simple and efective.

I second what Angel Dust wrote and also think it's pretty good.
I gather John is just as troubled & twisted as the woman that he kills, well that was the opinion I got from it.
You have a great start here, I hope you release it soon.
I loved the music.

Right-click opens gui next to hotspot, object, character
Examine, Use/Activate, and OpenInventory actions available (talk if character);
Left click on floor walks EGO around;

I am using this with my current project, with the help of KrisMuk and others I got it working right.
I plan to release a demo in some days and I'll be very happy to provide the code.
Lots of people here can code better than me, so I am just offering my help.

I think that this community is in need of some confidance boost (threads like forums not like they...) and this are the projects that can make us stronger.

I will help if needed, but only if the main character wears pink speedos

"Hold it right there, private!"
"There's something wrong about you, and I will find out what it is!"

Larry Vales and Pleughburg (did I spell it right?).
Pleughburg is still my favorite AGS game. There's no love like the first one.
