In V2.72, in the view pane, there's a clickbox you can check that allows the animation to continue to the next loop. There is no delay doing that and it can work for you if you structure your views acording and in advance.
I don't know about V3.0 because I haven't use it yet.

The Characters sprites are something I am working on and will look better in the actual game, I should have it done in some days, currently doing the Intro.

Intro finished and beta-testing!

Hello you bunch of agnostics,
Ponch: What with the recent theory that our universe has a skeleton?
Could it be still flat?
If the Big Bang theory is crap it really doesn't matter because I learned it was at school, and now my step-son is learning it (12yrs-old) and my son will probably learn it that way!
That's how it works, it's like the Holy Book, four Gospels were chosen but there were many more writen and they aren't acepted. We believe in what we are told, period.
I believe that the Quantum Leaps theory destroyed everything we believed as human race!
It doesn't matter anymore, we all be dead when the world finds out why we are here, and the answer will be very, very, simple. Just don't know what will be.

Characters at that point didn't have any region lightning aplied and the backgrounds were almost 100%finished, but I noticed that as well. Also character active scaling does that on 320x240 games ( the bluring ).

Hi Mercutik,
Well, I think you have the most important of things: a good idea,
I would try to develop that idea, start a room, do some backgrounds and character sprites, basic scripting is easy and the editor provides most of the interactions you will need, to start a pretty good functional room anyway.
Why not do that first room and submit it to the forums? You will get help from lots of us, from art to scripting.
You will find most of your questions answered in the day (sometimes hour) you post them!
Build that room and start another one, take your time.
Also, users of AGS have backgrounds avaiable for using (don't know about characters), there's a Walk-Cycle Generator avaiable for download as well.
I could say, ok I'll do the art work and script for your concept game, but I am not a game professional, I have a family and sometimes TIME is not around much!!! I think it's the same with most of the users around.
But I will help you as much as I can, sorry for the long post ;D

Hi, I think it lacks rythm, a faster tempo would do wonders to it giving a more rocky side to a monopaced track, I'm sorry to say but I got bored at half of it.
Again, I think it's only a matter of rythm because the instruments were well played.
The voice efects suit the style of the song but it doesn't variates much, the refrain has the same pitch only sung louder.
It's a good efort though, keep up the good work,

Hi, well I really like your character and the walkcycle isn't that bad, get those shoulders moving up and down just a pixel, it will add a more natural movement

First of all I don't want to insult anyone here,
I was born in a christian country with christian culture surrounding me in more aspects of life that I could not be aware of.
I agree with some things The Church tells and not with other things but that's not what I want to say, it just goes to show a bit of my background.
When humans are filmed, alone, for a extended period of time, one thing you stop seeing in them is God (together with their traces of civilization) , I mean whatever God you believe or I believe.
Human beings, when alone and not knowing/interested if they are being watched become what they really are without civilization/religion: animals.
Primary things like food,water,shelter,cold,heat become important.
The need to act sociable is less and less important with time and phisically humans begin to change. Even the look in their eyes change. The way they move when not watched by others changes, it becomes natural, human.
All this I'm writing has many glitches and you maybe don't agree but the truth is:
WE INVENTED GOD
there was no God before man begun to think and relate together, to live together and work together and have families.
There was no God as we know it before we learned how to write.
god started as a light in the sky, god became feared when somebody told he could control his wrath, god became a legend when he inspired warriors and even a myth when he died to save humankind.

I have to go with Strangelove (Peter Sellers we miss you) and because such good titles have been named I just want to mention Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive from director David Lynch, not as visible dark humour but it is all about it if you see both movies from a distant perspective.

Hi miwi, I was thinking about a way that characters would fit in that type of Bg's and I think you'll have to photograph them and use the same filters otherwise it's going to look weird.
It's only my opinion but maybe the cell-shade look would work here.

The current game I'm working on uses loads of 'Global Ints' and 'If' statments just because I can't work out structures, as soon as I finish it I will learn to code structs before I start anything!
Sometimes it gets really confusing and frustrating, like if I want to check past events and how NPC's relate to them in dialogs!

Prodution Update:
Chapter I finished and will be released next week, I'm finishing the intro and playing the game as much as I have time to, in order to check all the options avaiable I have set some global ints that keep track of the game pace and allow NPC's to answer to the player acording to the plot.

Maybe the object isn't blocking the script when moving, thus apearing on the desired location too fast.
You can set that (eblock/enoblock).
See if it works.
