My first projects were buggy, I just wanted something out!
This days I gather volunteers to test the game and let them have all the time they need. And when you think it's all tested and they think they've test it 100% sure, I get 1 or 2 more testers for a final look.

But I understand why a game maker is so eager to release his/her game. You feel the need to "let it go".

You feel very strongly that that's Stallone?

I was going to suggest Meet the Parents, thinking it might be Ben Stiller. Stallone and Stiller are of course very easily confused.

I really thought it was Stallone on Copland but now you got me confused, it could be easily Stiller on Meat the Parents. But for a second I imagined Stallone doing Zoolander and it was weird. Very weird.
Another weird and really uncomfortable moment in celluloid history was Stallone naked with Sharon Stone. I wanted to look at Stone's amazing figure but there he was, monstrous, atrocious, conspurcating her beauty. The horror. The horror...

The Urban Dictionary gives a funny meaning to lint, but I'm sure you mean the lint found on one's belly button.

Sorry to bump this one but are there any relevant facts I should know about Life Partner Ray?
I know Dennis and him have a interesting relationship going on and I will explore that fact in many positions ways possible but what else should I know about him without playing the huge list of games?

Because the heroes are both present and Ryan and Baron ideas sound smart I suggest we chain both commands like this:

QuoteQuotes from Baron and Ryan:

    >> SEND SIR KEVIN & COMPANY TO SEEK OUT STRANGE STONES, EXOTIC WOODS OR THE BONES OF SOME EXOTIC BEAST TO THE NORTH; AND SHOULD HE BE SUCCESSFUL WE WILL HIRE (AND TRAIN) HIM AND HIS MEN
    >> Ask LANCELOT if he's willing to TRAIN, with his choosing, of any able bodied TOWNSFOLK that OFFER their services to be GUARDS

In case you support my choice don't forget to quote it and "+1"(support it) before WHAM makes another round.

Quote from: miguel on Wed 11/12/2013 13:17:52I imagine one gold coin would duplicate our army at least.
Why on earth would a 20% increase in expenses lead to a 100% or more increase in army size?

Because Lancelot's men are expensive and of course well trained. We would be training common people, I imagine they should cost less, no?
Am I wrong here?

We can't afford another hero. We should "give" more men to Lancelot. I imagine one gold coin would duplicate our army at least. An they would be trained by the very noble Lancelot. With a bigger army we could send Lancelot and Dennis on a exploration mission and still leave the town secure (more or less secure).

> Order Lancelot to gather and train men, he'll have 1 gold for expenses.

Yes, like all those who come to the party must state their name, age, occupation and the likes! Clever move Selmiak! And I'm not joking here.
It's a clever way of doing a census even if not accurate.

>Order Jesterino to announce a party inside the castle where all the townsfolk are invited; Inform Jesterino that guests must state SEX,AGE,OCCUPATION,ADDRESS;

We throw a party and then increase taxes!

Dragon hunting sounds like easy money, too easy. Maybe when we have a dozen heroes or so. Some dwarfs and a hobbit.
Let's stay focused guys! We have no money, poor defense and no trading.
#734
Raising taxes will lower our popularity but yes I understand it has to be done for now. So I support the meting with the trader guilds as well.

But let's consider this:
- our trade income is zero;
- we need merchants in town and trade routes with other nations really quickly, so how to incentive merchants to trade with us?
- what do we have to offer?

-the taxes on commerce should not be set different than LOW if we want trading routes to pass by our kingdom;
-how rich are our people? Can they buy products when merchants start trading with us?

We need to know this things: CENSUS. We keep forgetting to do a population CENSUS of our kingdom.
Also, the SPY. Don't forget the SPY.

I will now flee from Portugal for a while. Because writing competition loosers have their testicles removed.
#736
I must try to convince you guys of the importance of hiring a spy. We need a second pair of eyes around town to find out any plots or conspiracies against us before it happens.
I remember you guys that although the criminal was but a petty thief according to the investigation lead by the town guard, he could have sneaked into the treasury and take our short amount of gold!
Yes, more guards indeed. And trained by Lancelot.
But a spy could detect things before they happen and even bigger conspiracies against us.

>Hire Spy;
#737
That is true, it's also WHAM first go at something like this I believe. Let's assume, from now on, that our little kingdom has valuable items and people to be guarded safe.
I guess we learn playing and WHAM improves with your very pertinent remark.
#738
We kind of neglected security didn't we?
But, like selmiak said let's not rush into drastic measures.
Ordering Lancelot to train fit men was already discussed here and should be done on the short term, I say that Lancelot and another 2 of his men should chase the thief around our town and castle but not any further, this can be a trap.
Stealing the Traders Seals isn't a common theft, it has surely somebody (kingdom) behind it, and its purpose is clearly to stall our intents on reviving economy.
Meaning that we must hire one spy (at least) and his mission is clear: find out in town, where things get talked (taverns, markets and public occasions) of any unusual rumours or suspicious characters. Related or not to the recent theft it's a priority to have an informer working with us.

We've seen how this game runs, the minute we think things are peaceful, shit happens. So, let's think before issuing another command to WHAM. Turning the kingdom into the pentagon may sound clever but it takes time and turns. A spy would be the best asset we can have right now.

I'm not issuing a command, I wanted to discuss my thoughts with all of you firs.
