v2.61

I would like my main character's dialog to ALWAYS be at a specific coordinates (at the bottom of the screen).  Any suggestions how to do that?  I can't seem to use DisplaySpeechAt when programming dialogs

thanks

Hello - I've searched the forums and the manual but can not find a solution to this problem.  I am using Lucas Arts style dialog and was wondering if there is some way to position it in a particular area of the screen i.e. (EGO, x, y)

Any help greatly appreciated

why is everyone saying that they were afraid of sierra games cause you could die?  you could SAVE your games, too...

one of the best sierra deaths - getting eating by that big, jellyfish alien thing in space quest 2 (the alien maze part)

Love the lighting on the underwater objects, though  :)

Speaking of SQ3 - did anyone honestly build the spaceship at the beginning and escape the junk freightor WITHOUT getting a hint here and there on how to do it??

I remember being stuck in the junk frieghtor for about a year before I finally wrote to Sierra and asked them for a clue!

Both Sierra and LucasArts games are cool in their own ways, but I'd have to say I'm in the Sierra camp as well.  I remember going to friend's houses for sleepovers when I was ten and we'd play the space quest 2 or 3 of king's quest 3 all night - or we'd sneak into my my one friend's dad's computer room and play the leisure suit larry series!  :o lol

That said, Full Throttle totally changed the way I looked at adventure games.  It was so tough (style-wise, not playability-wise) compared to the classic sierra titles!

Hints & Tips / Inca 2

Does anyone remember in Inca 2 - you start off playing as the son (I think his name is Wiracocha or something) and he dies in the space dogfight about half way through the game.  At that point, you start playing as El Doraldo (Wir.'s father).  Does anyone know if it is possible to win the dogfight, prevent Wiracocha from dying, and continue playing the game as his character?  I remember as a kid playing this part over and pver again and never being able to change the outcome of events.

As has already been said many times over, action sequences are fine as long as they fit the feel of the game.

Remember how out of place games like "Astro Chicken" were?  Or remember at the end of Leisure Suit Larry 3 when you had to ride that log down those rapids as Patti?

Those mini-games just slowed the progress of great adventures.  But that's just my opinion - perhaps I am a prune lol

I don't know much about artwork or backgrounds, but personally, I thought your clouds were pretty good.  I would keep them

Hello - I've searched the forums to no avail - is there anyway to change how objects are layered (i.e. object A is behind object B)?  I have had to resort to delete objects then re-adding them in the order I want but there must be an easier way - any advice?

Thanks
