Wow congrats guys! I can't wait to play this!

Watching that interview has made me pause for a moment to reflect on how I truly feel about my time spent on current and future projects.

And how do you feel...? Hopefully time well spent?

Yeah I’m going to check out their other stuff, too. I actually bought all of the extra videos that came along with Indie Game the movie (bought them 8 years ago or so), and I really enjoyed these vids. There are a couple of movie play-throughs with some of the developers (ie Ed and Tommy) doing a voice over of each scene. Also includes vids of other developers that were cut out of the final movie.

I think BlinkWorks lucked out in that Team Meat, Phil Fish and Jonathan Blow are themselves very interesting and opinionated people.

That sucks, It was a really good documentary, I remember even watching it in school for media studies.
Shame they didn't make anything else, hopefully they've all just moved to other studios.

I don't read comix. I have read a few stories by Junji Ito, if you can call that a comic
Imo he is far better at drawing than coming up with a story, though.

I should add Leisure Suit Larry 5. Not that I particulary love this game but its graphic style turned my world upside down. I dicovered the world where straight, paralel lines don't exist and laws of perspective are severly violated. I'm faithfull to this style to this day.

Haha it is funny you should mention that specific game and that specific style, because it also resonated with me. "Wait, doors/buildings don't have to be rectangles?! Limousines can be 800 car doors long?!" I remember I used to draw little choose-your-own-adventure games in this style.

Yeah, LSL5's entire world was pretty unique, you're right, and for some reason they toned it down in LSL6.

There was a documentary I watched ages back that had a section on him Phil Fish, and a few other guys, wish I could remember the title, but its always interesting to see his mentality.

That’s the ‘Indie Game’ movie I mentioned above. Cool documentary by BlinkWorks, who unfortunately don’t appear to have made a movie since. 

This is driving me nuts. All of these pics look so recognisable, plus we've got a crap 99-2001 computer to give us a rough cue for when the movie was likely made.

Argh - I swear I was going to guess that and then thought 'nah, too obvious'. 

Years ago I was sitting on the passenger side of my colleague's car. He was notorious for being an absolutely horrible driver (which he was - always a religious experience riding with him). Anyway, on this occasion he was trying to do a U-turn and almost hit the same guy twice (i.e. once while starting the U-turn and then again when finishing the turn â€" the second caused the man to jump out of the way). We drove off with this dude’s angry yelling fading into the background and my coworker says, “life is so hard for some people.”
