Looks cool. The style reminds me of Beasley's Deathtrap.

^^hehe nice

I got a cheap NYC police officer's hat and billy club and took my son trick or treating. Our community is loaded with Brits, so some houses were even giving out 'treats' for parents (small glasses of alcoholic drinks - god bless you Brits). One guy said 'take a load off, officer?' as he handed me a long island iced tea. (laugh)

I listen to a lot of nursery rhymes and kids songs with my son (and we rock out to them on our guitar sometimes). Personal fav is this snappy crooner and his little interludes between sections of the song. "Let's try a long O sound..." (cue cheddar smile)  (laugh)

Sort of a similar vein is Peppyrock's remix of Sesame Street's theme:

I didn't record many tapes but I burnt a lot of CDs:

Ah crap this one also unavailable here! I love this song too though. Makes me reminisce of my extremely awkward first year at uni.  (laugh)

Listening to this absolute monster classic of an album right now before it gets taken down from Youtube again (and again and again and again... the record label is relentless). I actually own the CD, but it's great to be able to listen to it at the click of a button without having to transfer the mp3 rips onto my phone.

And yes, that cover is by John Wayne Gacy himself.

Argh - 'video unavailable' here. Who/what was the track?

Nice call, Jack.

No idea. Maybe some band from Detroit? Or perhaps someone random like Donald Trump? Or Michael Moore?

Yeah Democratic candidates looking good. Hopefully they can knock out clown show in 2020.

Edward Snowden was on Rogan recently. Haven't listened to it yet, but I bet that was an interesting interview.

I will always always love Annie Lennox. Greatest thing to ever come out of Scotland.

I think I once read that dude was actually a complete overdub. It was the producer singing the whole time.  (laugh)

Sorry, I'm just going to dump tracks here for a bit. Yes, there are better Boney M songs out there, but this is the very very first one I heard, and I remember liking the vibe right away. :=

Not fair - EVERYBODY loves Venus! (laugh) (laugh)

Sure, the original is great, but the Bananarama version is like a compilation of all the worst cliches of the 80s... and yet I love it :-D

And hey, the ONLY embarrassing thing about the "You spin me round" video is the other band members, who clearly could not live up to the fabulousness that was required of them :P Everything else is just the BEST (and the song is an absolute classic!)

Banarama version means different things to different people - I can never mentally separate it from this Gillette advertising campaign for women's razors from around 20 years ago. I don't think anything Gillette has ever done sold women's razors faster in Canada. Hell I was going to buy one!  :-D

Yeah those DoA band members get a failing grade for lacking enthusiasm. Bath robes, flags and eye patches...what else do you guys need!

In the same vein:

(This video always cracks me up. What were they thinking? Eye patches, flags and finger wagging?! (laugh) Ah well, no cringe video can destroy the awesomeness of this song!)

C'mon guys ~ anyone else have a guilty pop music pleasure they'd like to get off their chest? (laugh)

Never in a million years thought a song like this would resonate, but I've always really liked Minaj's chorus on this track. There's something about that build to the minor chord (i.e. "can't you hear that boom..."). It's actually the same group of chords used in AIC's Got Me Wrong.

Mandle got it! It was indeed Lost Boys.

I should hope so! I've seen that movie like 50 times. (The buff dude playing the sax just happened to be playing with his band on the beach so they asked them to be in the movie.)

Okay next quote (I couldn't find the exact quote online but here's how I remember it. Should be pretty close.)

"What are you doing?"
"Making holy water."
"I thought only a priest could do that."
"I am a priest."
"You became a priest?"
"Yeah, I went online to the church's site, paid the five bucks, and clicked the "ORDAIN ME" button."
"And that works?!"
"Never had any problems."
