AGS Games in Production / Re: The Witch House

Do the day and night versions use different rooms, or is it just the graphics that are different? And how is the passage of time handled? If you go AFK and stay in the same room will time still progress? The screenshot looks awesome. Will Walter be able to get his hands on a fishing rod, (or a skiff) and if so, can he fish anywhere with a significant body of water or just at a few locations? Plus a fishing rod can always be useful for various puzzles.

Too bad it wasn't the 2013 version of Shadow Warrior. But still I added it to my GOG library anyway.

My favourite is Call of Cthulhu Dark Corners of the Earth as well, it was suprisingly faithfull to Lovecraft, usually the games add strange elements to the mix, that don't fit the mythos or atmosphere. Even further away from adventure games is Alone in the Dark, but the first ones capture that same cosmic horror -feeling.

Some upcoming Lovecraft related titles on steam:
Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones
Call of Cthulhu
The Sinking City
Saint Kotar: The Yellow Mask
Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure

It's really impressive that so many Lovecraft -themed games are being produced right now. Stygian looks interesting, need to try the Demo. And haven't tested Gibbous yet either!

Hopefully The Witch House will be added to some lists next year!

You can rest assured that I am certainly looking forward to it!

Mind you these titles aren't available yet though you can get a demo for Stygian and I believe Gibbous also has a demo available.

For creature/monster films I would suggest the Mimic movies.
Spoiler
The second one had a really cool twist at the end.

If they do a remake there should be some sort of option to skip the arcade sequences near the end. Those proved too difficult for me to get through.

Can someone please explain the 'entwash' pun? I don't see it... :)

Treebeard is an Ent and when you bathe you wash yourself. Add Ent to wash together and you get Entwash.

In the Entwash?
That's the correct answer! The answer could also apply to all of Treebeard's people. That riddle was kind of a pun.

Here's another original Lord of the Rings / Tolkien riddle that I made myself. Hopefully it will be easier than the last one I submitted.

"Where does Treebeard bathe?"

Back some years ago I wrote a module that would add automated text parser functionality to existing point and click games, though that was way back before version 3 and I don't know if it's still available on the web anymore (Though I still have the zip files if you want them).

Something that might be cool is an Ocean Spirit Dennis and Spongebob Squarepants game. The evil ghost pirate the Flying Dutchman has captured Dennis' partner Ray so he needs the help of the residents of Bikini Bottom to rescue him. Main characters would be Dennis, Spongebob, Sandy, and Patrick, and possibly Squidward. Other characters like Krabbs and Ms. Puff could be minor roles.
Better yet, pastiches of those types of characters.  I'm down for anyone's Oceanspirit Dennis games, though.

You're probably right. If using actual Spongebob characters the game would likely have to be safe for the younger players lest Dennis be hit with a "Cease and Desist" order.

Do they have classical music like Bach and Beethoven or other older music that would fall under public domain? It would be awesome I find a midi loop of the medieval song Greensleeves.

For the fool it might be interesting for them to claim to be the alpha wolf and ask the other villagers who they think the wolves should eat first.

Some other stuff that might make the guard role more interesting:
If the wolves decide to kill the guard, but the guard is out guarding somebody then the wolves just find his house empty and don't get a kill unless he was guarding a wolf that night, though that would tip the town off to who the guard or one of wolves is. If there is only one wolf left and they decide to kill the guard then the guard can kill them instead. Though this would probably make the guard overpowered. It also would imply lazy wolves.

Hopefully the kitten will find a good home. You may want to consider taking them to an animal shelter though.

My condolences. If one suffers from depression it is important to talk to someone about it and don't be afraid to seek help.

Thanks Cassie. :)  Here is another one!

Hand painting all of this for Neofeud 2 takes ages, but I'm always happy with the surreal/impressionistic effect. Trying to go for more something more consistent and readable, but still hallucinatory. Also, yes there may be a bit of a Monkey Island vibe going on here. I'm from an actual tropical island so I have all the reference in the world. :)

(Here's the still version)

Is that Proto-J from the first Neofeud down in the lower right corner?
