1. Although lower than a fence,
And thinner than a rail,
It can still be used to hold a horse;
Hooves, mane and tail.

A hot-dog! (Sorry couldn't resist)

What if they were ravenous, people-eating, zombie clowns of the apocalypse? That has like 16 syllables!

Lightning?

That's the correct answer! And I didn't even have to give the "it has better odds then the lottery!" clue.

How about Ocean Spirit Dennis VS zombie clowns?

1. A box beneath a tree,
Inside some tasty meat.
Kept for a month or more,
It still tastes just as sweet.

A riddle from an old  text adventure, if you've played it then let somebody who hasn't try to guess the answer.

"my tines be long
my tines be short
my tines end before my first report"

Looks like I'm going to have to give a hint on this one...
You wouldn't want to get struck by it.

That just leaves mkennedy's riddle still to get then I believe - no idea what it is myself!

This one was pretty tough, partly because I didn't know what 'tines' were (they're a synonym for forks) and I was only able to solve the riddle when I found a sentence that had the answer that also used the word tines. The riddle was from 'Beyond Zork' as I recall.

What is Santa's favorite heavy metal band?
Slade (as in sleighed.  It's Chriiiiiiiiiistmaaaaas!

That could work, though actually I was thinking of Slayer (sleigher).

1. When it is stout
People gladly tread.
When it is thin,
People walk in dread.

ALE!! (Sorry, couldn't resist!)

And now for another original riddle I made up myself.

What is Santa's favorite heavy metal band?

Because the Potatoes have eyes, the corn has ears and the beanstalk (beans talk).

That's correct! (Though I didn't know about the talking beans part of the riddle)

Here's a riddle / joke from some place.

Why should you never commit a crime on the farm?

I got a used copy of Deluxe Paint 2 that I occasionally use. Mostly for mapping muds as the program has built in grid support. Of course having to port the maps for PCX to GIF is a slight hassle...

Those all work, but the last one is kind of iffy. Actually I was thinking more hurricane than storm, but it's close enough.

A simple riddle with multiple possible answers.

What has an eye, but can't see?

Mostly into classic metal and thrash from the 80's. Stuff like old school Metallica before 1990, Iron Maiden, Dio to name a few. "Master of Puppets" was the greatest album of all time IMHO.

So does the remake still use the SCI engine or whatever it was that Sierra used?

Here's hoping that the game feature's some high res artwork of the two human females. Desiree looks quite lovely!  :cheesy:

Despite what gigabytes and gigahertz may have conditioned you to believe, "jigawatts" is a completely valid pronunciation.

So am I the only one who pronounces them jigabytes? (My thought is it's jiga like in gigantic)

But I pronounce the hard g in .GIF like in gremlin or groovy. And nobody mentioned the Jif peanut butter? (choosey moms choose Jif!)
