It would be nice to remove any dead ends from the game, unless you are upgrading the graphics to a higher resolution or introducing new content I don't really see the need for a remake.

That other ending sounds cool, I was thinking maybe Ash's actions end up somehow changing the present. Maybe the wizard could reverse engineer his car and learn from the books he brought with him to advance the technology before it's time.

Evil Dead is awesome, no need for a re-make or a sequel. Carrying on from Army of Darkness, seriously?

Wasn't there an alternate ending to "Army of Darkness"? If so what exactly happened in it? Maybe it would be be usable for a sequel.

Also I'm surprised nobody's made a fan game of "Evil Dead/Army of Darkness" (Hint, Hint!)

Actually I would be fine with the government providing all products and services assuming that there was also competition from private companies. It is far preferable to a system where the government provides absolutely NOTHING and people have to turn to private companies even for things like police and fire protection. If you don't want medicare or medicaid you can get private insurance, however the option for government run health insurance should be available to provide competition to private companies. Likewise if you don't want to get your power from the government you can buy it from private companies. Regulation is also very much needed, lets say a company makes a product and to improve sales they add an ingredient to make it highly addictive, are saying there should be no regulation to prevent companies from doing something like this?

The bill is a good start, But we still need the option to buy into Medicare or other government run insurance. Having a public option is just some competition. If the private insurers can't compete with the public option then they are obviously  an inferior product and don't deserve to be in business anyway.

So how does the Tex Murphy game Overseer compare to the original ? I found the gun battles that had an endless supply of bad guys a real turn off as I quickly ran low on bullets and the bad guys didn't seam to drop any when you killed them as far as I can tell. Was it possible to visit any of the landmarks listed on the map that came with the game or were they just red herrings?

It's amazing what they could do using only 16 colors. Mind you I've never actually PLAYED any of those games, but have seen picture galleries and screen shots from them. I guess that some of the Legend Entertainment games like the Spell casting series or "Eric the Unready" are probably the closest thing I've experienced. Interactive fiction can be entertaining, though I prefer the kind where you get to explore the area and interact with people and objects rather than games that are just multiple choice questions where you reach then end after a series of choices.

Should be interesting to see all the characters at the costume party.

Does playing an online RPG with permanent death count as fear? Knowing that if your character dies it's all over for them and there is no resurrection? Knowing that those 40 + hours you spent getting your character up to level 500 have all been for naught? It's more frightening to me than many other games, don't usually feel fear in FPS as my reflexes tend to suck so I often need to cheat to finish the game.

So if you could have any game, (preferably adventures though other games would be fine to) and have it remade with modern software, graphics, and other perks, what game would you choose and what changes would you make? A graphical version of "Colossal Caves" with a built in auto map would be nice, (is this game really based on an actual place or is that just urban legend?) And maybe graphic versions of some of the other Infocom text based adventure games.

Actuall, I wouldn't give up with those petitions just yet!

According to a moderator at TLS games, heard that the original KQ creator "Ken Williams" already sign those petitions.

Therefore, get those petitions in and let those goons at activision know that enough is enough!

It's probably going to take more than just him signing the petition to get Activision to change their mind, I mean for all they know it could just be some other bloke who just happens to have the name "Ken Williams" who signed it. Now if Ken and Roberta Williams personally wrote a letter to Activision  on behalf of the TSL team that gave approval of the game then the company may be willing to change their minds, or at least go back to the negotiating table.

Maybe I over reacted in my earlier comment. Maybe not. Some people would find this funny while others would be offended. I just happen to fall under the offended category. Ten years ago I may have not cared or had a different outlook. But I have a precious nephew and niece now. And even my cousin whom I held when she was baby is having her very own child so my perspective on things have changed. I just wondered how I would feel if that happened to be a picture of my own flesh and blood portrayed in such a way. Anyway, apologies if my comment was a bit much.

How'd the guys from the "Quest For Glory 4.5" game get away with it? That game had lots of questionable content, and if there was ever a target for a C&D order they would be an understandable target.

Fanfiction can be lots of fun, as long as you don't take it too seriously. It helps a lot though if you're familiar with the source material.

Maybe once after part 8 is finally finished you can release a "Complete Ben Jordan Experience" with all 8 games combined into 1 single long game.
