Critics' Lounge / Re: Critz on sprite..

That's a very good start. You colored him very well, but his arms ... in the second version it looks, as if he is very angry. And his forearms look a bit thin.

Yeah, keep it up trying. If you make the same background over and over again, it always will be getting better. It's the same for sprites, animations etc. I had to remake the simple walk animation like ten times, before it looked like walking.

I prefer the perspective seaduck used.

Wow. That's a good edit, Afflict!

But you could choose "Wave/MP3" or something similar as the recording device. That should work.

I personally just activate "What U Hear" as the recording device, and then you can record everything, that ends up in your speakers.

General Discussion / Re: AGS Banner??

That car seems to be from Nataly Buchannon and the Amulet of Kings. It's still in production, I guess.

"Homines sapientes", to be more precise. But that's OT, and I am ashamed for that. Please forgive me. I just could not look at "homo sapiensii" without correcting. Sorry, Farlander ;)

Completed Game Announcements / Re: Spooks!
Mon 13/03/2006 13:24:53
I just finished Spooks! And, hey, that game was great. It had a lovely new idea, well scripted puzzles and dialogues. One of the best AGS games I've played in the last few months. Keep it up!

That might be right for a normal room, but imagine, you had a very large scrolling room with many possible interactions and animated things. Then you have to work around, what is generally possible, but much more complicated.

General Discussion / Re: Time Travel?

Do you agree that if time travel were at all possible, that only travelling into the past would be possible, and not the future? The future has not happened yet, and as far as I know my older self has not come into my timeline to have a cup of tea with me.

But for the people you would visit by travelling back in time, you were someone from the future. Then the question is: Are the future, the present and the past existing parallel?

But really: If you would go into the past, it would already have been eaten by the Langoliers. That's for sure.

Looks good. But when I get shot by the turret, when I'm near to it, I get instantly shot again, when the spaceship revives. I suggest making you ship invulnerable for, say, 2 seconds, after it has been revived.

You don't have to email me the screenshots. I can wait. ;)

Sounds interesting, and I'd like to see screenshots. Can't you make them smaller, so that we can take a look ^^

I spotted a problem with the multiplier in "hard"-mode. It multiplied a bit too much. Will get that fixed, too.
EDIT: And that, too, is fixed.
#1056
QuoteDid you know that you can still move while having the game paused though?

No, I didn't. That's a bug; it will be fixed in the next version. Thanks for that.
EDIT: It's fixed now.

That the ball doesn't move after returning from pausemode is intended. But it's not meant to be some kind of "cheat". It's, for example, when you have to pause and go away, that you don't need to remember, in which direction the ball was moving.

But one could use it as a helping device, though.

Hm, I could beat it without having problems on "normal" mode. Could it be, that the ball is moving with different speeds on different machines?

Hi, there!

I had a boring day yesterday, so I decided to make a little reaction and coordination game and, besides, my first self-made AGS game ever.

Here is a screenshot:

In Reaction III you have to steer The Grey Dot to the exit, while you have to press the keys that are framed on the GUI on the left. You can play the game in three difficulties.

There are only three levels yet, but I'll certainly do more. If you want to see your own levels and your name in the game, just send me a PM or mail, and I'll tell you how to do it.

You can download the game HERE.
*  BUGFIX: fixed the "move-when-paused"-bug
**BUGFIX: fixed the multiplier-bug in "hard" mode

EDIT: Oh, and I wanted to apologise, if I'm wrong here in the completed games board. I have just noticed, that "complete" might the wrong term to describe Reaction III.

I agree. There were so many good entries, that it would be hard to decide a winner, anyway. I demand that all entries are winners.

The help file talks abouta maximum of 299 rooms. But next to all those limitation, there is this sentence: "If you think any of these limits is a serious problem, contact me and I can probably increase it."

But you could do it with more than one picture in a room.
