I think that's the shadow of the hill, bio. What bugs me is, that the path disappears, when it reaches the hill.

But it's a nice screen. The colors, you chose, please my eye. Maybe you could add some shadows to the clouds as well.

Can you resist the Eyes of Nûhm?

I consider myself untalented. With that coming from you, I feel proud of myself (where there, looking at the treetop, isn't much to be proud of, indeed). I really admire your art, buloght, that I have seen on this forum, and your words make me truly happy. Trust me, there's nothing in my entry you have to be jealous of.

I really like the other entries as well. The topic is very inspiring.

Here is my entry:

After having defeated the dragon Xah, the Keeper of the Flame, in the Dark Volcano, and having resisted the gaze of The Eyes of Nûhm in Nightshade's Fortress, our hero Luca eventually reaches the Tree in the Centre of Time, the incarnation of Life and Death themselves. He has to answer three questions, the Lord of Rain, Night and Wind, who is the keeper of the tree, will ask him. If he answers them correctly, he may take the White Flower, the one and only cure to the curse, the dark lord Atarh has set on his beloved friend.

I didn't find the LucasArts way of speech too annoying. But realizing your idea should'nt be that hard to script in AGS, though I never tried it.

Now THAT'S an improvement  ::)

I really like your realistic style. BTW, you had made the first parts of a tutorial a while ago. Does it still exist?

Again, I have been what others call 'lame':

The Burning Sun Hid Me Well

Don't know why I still try it. Guess it's inversed satisfaction.

I would swap the "Discard"-label with the label of the object's name.

I have to agree. The noise is really distracting.

And I don't know much of dark cellars, but I would suggest a handrail. The stairs are really dangerous now.

I really like it the way it is. It seems very terranigmaish in functionality, the colors fit, the wings are simple, yet great. But I would also suggest to darken the background screen, while the GUI is viewed.

Hi, lo_res_man.

I really like this b/w-style. You've managed to give them a lot atmosphere. Onyl thing that stands out is the bright side of that obelisk, that in fact is in the shadow of the ziggurat. But that's probably intended.

That's a nice little arcade game you made there. The minigames are really fun, but it took me a while to find out the controls for the 2nd player in the full-screen double-paddle game. And when you lose in this minigame, you get "teleportated" to the startscreen. It could be more fun, if you could restart the double-paddle game directly and not by clicking ->Minigames->Double-Paddle again.

Can't wait to see new boardsets.

If I should name a person, that really isn't believing in such things like supernatural forces or experiences, then I would name myself, because I trust in logic and the sentence "What can't happen, won't happen." But, as I said before, I witnessed feelings, that I couldn't explain, and "chance" isn't an explanation.

I call myself a rationalist, but Walter Faber from Max Frisch's novel "Homo Faber" also called himself a rationalist, and he truly seemed to be, but when you read it twice, you realise, that he - from the beginning to the end - is the opposite.

I really admire your imagination (and your skill), buloght. When I would try to "start with a black screen and make lots of small blue patches to form walls", it would end up being food for my wastepaper basket.

I really like your picture, although the thing that creeps me out isn't the black patch in the water, but the mouth-like thing to the top.

The other entries are good as well.

No, the knob is not the problem. I've seen rooms where the knob was on the right side (although it's mostly attached to the left). What I mean is the ... eh, how to describe it? Wait ... a picture ...

In your room it lookes like no.2. In every room I know (that leads to a floor or something) it would look like no.1. Too bad I don't find the words to describe it. I should practice some English. It get's bad.

But, keep in mind, to me, I would rather play a comedy game than an artsy game. Let's face it-there's too much focus on art and not enough on humour. I like comedy more than art, even though some people might disagree.

But does comedy imply "bad art"? When you give the advices here an ear and try to improve your artistic skills, you won't lose your abilty to make a humorous game. Why not have a good comedy-game with good graphics.

Maybe you quit games, that have a serious kind of story, although they might have good graphics, but when I look at the floor of the room, you made, my eyes hurt. The color is too bright, you never would find that contrast in anyone's room, even it was in a comedy game, or an aquarium, that looks like a light bulb.

And if your game really is humorous is still to be proofed.

Wow, I really like the feeling. The mirror is excellent, the colors are geniusly combined.

I would suggest a baseboard.
And the door looks, as if it would open to the outside. For all I know, it should open to the inside.

Good work!

When my cousin was born, I wasn't happy about it, not for my cousin, nor for my uncle or aunt. I asked myself, why I felt sad, and not happy, and the answer was: I had the strange feeling, that she wouldn't live for long. The next day she died.

And one night I awoke, because I heard some sort of crash. When I looked for it, I realised it was the floor mirror, which had detached from the frame and shivered on the floor. There is a saying, that, when a mirror falls of its own volition out of its frame, the owner of this mirror will die soon. One week later, my grandmother, until that very healthy, became sick and died few weeks later.

Seems that everything strange I notice is related to death. Like everytime I have to write a very very very important test, the conductor of the tram I ride discovers a dead body on the rails. Strange ...
