Snarky is close. Maybe this will help you find the title:

To be fair, it has its Lynch-like moments. Another pic:

It's not a Lynch.
The screenshot gives hints about the general theme, mood and location of the film.

There's something weird going on with the shadow of the stairs. Why isn't it cast on the floor?

I dig the style. Has a unique vibe to it which I like.

The Hallelujah Trail?

Seems like a good idea, Diamond! Go for it! :D

@Nikolas:
I'm not much of a video pro, but I find that Sony Vegas does the job pretty well and is easier to begin with for small scale projects (few video tracks, few audio tracks, few effects). For anything more complex (big scale productions with tons of effects and deep audio editing) Premiere would be the better choice mainly for it's connectivity with Photoshop, After Effects etc.

Okay, since Pinback and Diamond16 haven't been online for a while, it seems the best idea if someone else takes over. Doc_Savage, would you like to start a new competition?

Glad you beat that part! The trick to getting through the staircase is to safe the shield for that part. Without shield, while it's possible to survive the staircase (even on hard mode), it's extremely hard. With shield, you want to rush up there as quickly as possible! You will get hit but you get 2 seconds of invulnerability. Use that! :)

Easier said than done ^^ But I'll try it, thanks :D

Okay, that worked, but it needed a bit of practice. Thanks. Now I'm stuck on the next stage. The part with the 'staircase' and the guns on each step is just cruel :P

I've tried that too, but it seems that you when you jump from mid-air, you don't get the needed height. At least, I don't get the needed height ;D

Hints & Tips / The Art Of Dying

I'm feeling weird to ask for a hint in a jump and run, but ... in stage "Hell", there is this scene:

I JUST CAN'T make the jump to the upper edge. I've tried it a thousand times on and off. It seems too short to reach, regardless of the way I try it. Is there some kind of trick to it?

Thanks! :)

I keep dying on stage 2 ^^
Well made and polished. Great work! :D

Okay, that's a tough one to decide.

Pinback, you nailed the Buddhist chant box feel you're talking of. Mixed with electronic bits and pieces, this makes for an interesting temple ambience.

Diamond16, that's definitely crying EGYPT! into my face. I can imagine the desert, hot sand and pyramids.

I like both, but I like Pinback's entry more for the unconvenient but perfect mixture of styles. Your go, Pinback! :D
