Who do i have to tip to make that happen?

Darn, you should have said that earlier :D

It's cool to see that there were 7 entries. Great work!

Calin Leafshade
Your song really has a winter feel to it. I like what you've done with the guitar, but it's a tad monotonous.

Le Woltaire
You accomplish to give me a fantasy-medieval feeling. I like how the song changes its mood, and it reminded me of Inherit the Earth, which is a good thing, I guess.

boojiboy
Your song could work great in a game.

Thomas Regin
A great christmas song. The inspiration by Pachelbel just adds to it.

ShiverMeSideways
Reminds me of cold barren wastelands. A bit too much double base for my taste, but I guess this has something to do with that Symphonic Metal kind of thing :D

Midian Design
I think you accomplished your goal. Your song is first mysterious and then powerful. I like that.

discordance
A nice calm winter piece, like a small town on a sunny winter's morning.

It's really hard to choose a winner, but I go for Le Woltaire. Great job everyone!

I find myself constantly looking at the snowy mounatin top. I guess it's way too bright.
Other than that I like it, though it looks kind of flat. Adding some shadows would definitely help.

Okay, last chance. I'll decide the winner on monday.

Great entries so far.

Two very good entries so far. Keep em coming.

Yeah, and now that you mention it, Calins entry really has a "Silent Hill" feeling to it. Good work!

It's getting really cold now, so it's time to set the theme to

WINTER

Be it a snowy forest, Antarctica, the castle of the Ice Queen, christmas holidays or a skiing trip, anything goes.

No restrictions, no requirements aside from having fun.

Let's go!

Hey thanks, I'll start the next one soon.

Wow, cool. He guessed everything from Virgil to Ron Stoppable. Great program!

Just finished it, and I must say I liked it. Okay, the graphics are a bit on the weak side and he walked really slow, but it had a certain atmosphere that was appealing. The music was good, but there could have been a few more animations. But otherwise, a cool debut.

As I'm on another holiday from thursday on, could a moderator kindly take over this BB, please?

Since it sounds as if you had a studio-like environment with little to no reverb, wouldn't be one option to record dialogue/monologue with a distance to the microphone bigger than the narration parts (using the proximity effect, i.e.)? That's at least what I'm doing when recording, though results may differ depending on the personal equipment setup (and I guess yours is waaay better than mine).

And now as you say it, the reverb in his office really sounds odd. It's a bit too much, I guess, and a bit too long.

The acting sounds good, i.e. as you might except from such a story, a bit dull and depressing. There's not much real acting in the prologue. Would like to hear some dialogue, too.

Yeah, and it really reminded me of Max Payne. And that's a good thing. Damn good.

To keep it short and simple. This Blitz's theme is anything incorporating one or more of the four seasons.

Limitations: your background has to be AGS-compatible.

Voting starts Saturday, September 5th.

And now let's have fun!

As I'm on vacation from thursday on, should I just go on and start a new BB?

Just a quick overview on how I assembled some photos to a new image and further edited them to be the cover of an upcoming project of mine.
CLICK

I know it's not perfect at all, and to a professional it might look like shit, but I thought it might give some people an idea of how several pictures can be combined. Done in Photoshop.

If it would be useful to someone, I could try to go into a little more detail regarding the later steps, i.e. the adjustment of colours etc.

The text reads: 1: Assemble pictures; 2: Define lightsource and block in shadows; 3: Adjust brightness, contrast, colours, sharpness and hue.

Thanks a lot, folks! Yeah, I think there's a lot to see in Cornwall. I'll shoot some photos. Let's just hope I'll come back without swine flu. We've got enough here already :D

Hi, folks,

in just two weeks I'll be on a vacation to Devon/Cornwall with a friend of mine, seven nights, sleeping in youth hostels around the coast (starting in Bristol, then clockwise through Devon and Cornwall until I hit Bristol again). I've rented a car, but planned to go wandering around and enjoying the landscape. Aside from that, there surely are some very interesting places to miss, so do you guys happen to know or could you recommend me places/museums/tours/parks/etc. that aren't too expensive, but are worth a visit?

Thanks in advance!

But yet I've seen it ("that must of been a mistake") used in novels, and not even in dialogue, but in narrations. It quite confused me, but I figured it must be some kind of transcript from spoken word.
