Okay, tomorrow I'm going home after weeks of holidays, and I still have enough spare time (24/7, to be precise) until the 26th. I've already made the walkcycles, the interface and 6 and a half backgrounds. If there's nothing immediate needing my attention, this is going to be a sure entry.

As I'm planning on entering, I have a question: With "three essential items" do you necessarily mean _inventory_ items?
#883
Of course you can keep it ^^

And here is my entry: Hard-boiled detectives and modern technology

Wait, wait, wait ... I'm making an entry right now. I mean, it's the last Voice Compo, i just HAVE TO ... one moment please.

What I really dislike are puzzles, that might be good as a puzzle itself, but do not fit. Take "Still Life": Why do I have to solve a lever puzzle to start a crane? WHY? What crane is that? There are similar examples as well. It's not that I dislike those kind of puzzles. I really enjoyed "Sentinel", because it had atmosphere and some hard, but not too hard puzzles. And it was made for the puzzles.

Im busy in the next days, but maybe I'll have some free time to enter.

Wow, very atmospheric. But I guess, you wouldn't see stars from this perspective.

Excellent, and very Monkey-Island-3-ish. But I have to agree on the clouds. They look too massive and not really like clouds. But other than that: woooohoo!

I had problems identifying the "pick up" symbol. I'd use a hand or something.

Hehe, I had the same idea, Mikko ^^ Unfortunately I can't do anything related to animating. Good entries!

I also have an out-of-sync problem at the Beyond Good & Evil cutscenes. But it definitely hasn't something to do with my system performance, since it worked when I first played it. Don't know, what it could be either.

In The Last Call, no nihilyst was harmed.

I just realized that I sound a bit bored. That's because I had to whisper. Damn all those sleeping-at-night-people ^^

According to the handbook, those commands should work with OGGs, too.

As far as I know, you can just have one music file and use the GetMP3PosMillis and SeekMP3PosMillis commands. So if, for example, the second part starts after 10 seconds and the entire file was 1 minute long, you could use this in the rep_ex:

if (GetMP3PosMillis() > 100000)  //when the music reaches 01:00
SeekMP3PosMillis(10000);  //go to 00:10

Should work, but I don't know, if there is any audible break.

Thanks for the paintover, Neil, and Ivy for the comment. I see your point and will try to make it better.

I like the ocean water. What jumps out is the sharp-edged horizon. I would apply some blur there.

Wow, that's great, Xellie, although it looks a bit busy cause of the amount of dithering. The stripes in the sky are distracting. The clouds seem good to me.

Hi, xellie, and thanks for the reply!
Wow, I didn't here from the CPS before ^^

I try to make the cliff look less box-like. Let's see what I can do.
