Is one of the doors in the exterior image meant to be the entrance to the room? If so, the surrounding features of the exterior do not fit with the interior. If it door 101 is meant to be the door to the room, then the wall to the left of the outside of the door would have to extend towards the viewer, and if it's the other door, then although the walls either side do fit the shape of the interior, the mirror in the room would be behind the window on the right in the exterior image.

What are you talking about? The layout makes perfect sense. Door 101 is the door to the room, which matches the doorway indicated in the foreground of the interior view.

Ah, I hadn't noticed that. Of course, the other door is the door to the bathroom, as someone already pointed out.

OK, I've downloaded the Italian version and I'm about to play it... for future reference (although it looks like you've had dozens of offers already) I am available for translating from Italian into English. I am English and have excellent Italian. The best translations are usually those where the translator has the target language as their mother tongue, unless the translator is completely bilingual, so for a translation from Italian to English, it is better to choose an English person who knows Italian well than an Italian who knows English well. That does not mean that Abisso won't do a good job (non ti offendere, Abisso, ti prego!) - I'm sure that he will.

Oh, and if you need any help with translating particular phrases or jokes idiomatically, Abisso, please do feel free to contact me.

I think it's ridiculous. If they allowed Davy Jones C'est Mort and Mika's Surreal Dream (which I seem to recall depicts a stick figure urinating) they should allow this...

There is more precedent. There is a RoN game that features the chef, Lucca, naked, but with his naughty bits pixellated out. (You'll have to play the game to see why, and it's such a long time since I played it, I don't remember which one it is, so you'll have to play them all to find out!*) Of course, that's all in fun rather than for titillation, so probably that's why they have an issue with bitby's game. But as has already been said, it's a sad double standard that people think there is something shocking about the naked human body that people need to be protected from (like they've never seen one before) whereas decapitations, dismemberments and disembowelments are just fine for us to watch.

* According to the RoN site, Lucca is in The Chef, Purity of the Surf, MI5 Bob, III Spy, Major Bummer Dude: Lassi Quest RON and Root of all Evil. My money's on the first one.

You've put reflections in the external windows, and these look good, but there is nothing to show that the mirror is a mirror. Unless the (implied) fourth wall is completely blank and uniformly coloured (and lighter than the other walls), the mirror would not look like this. As it stands, the mirror could just be a rectangular patch of exposed plaster or concrete. As we don't see a window anywhere in the room, presumably this is in the fourth wall, so the window (and whatever is outside, unless the curtains are closed, which is probably the case as the room as dark) would be reflected in the mirror, unless the window is opposite the picture on the wall.

Aqala,

Spoiler
If you haven't already, first touch the wall so that it becomes full-screen. Then look at various points on the screen. When you find the right place, Rolf will say something. Then use your sense on the same spot.

Now I'm stuck.

Spoiler
I'm in front of the scanner. The scientist is dead. I need to change my clothes, but using the dark suit in my inventory or clicking the protection suit has no effect.

I have

the two middle symbols for the panel to open the door - one from the piece of paper in the pipe, and one from the symbols on the wall - but where can I find the other two?

These look lively and fun, but I'd like to make two criticisms:

On the woman's breasts: her left breast is under her armpit. It needs to be further over to (our) left.

On the dog: its forelegs meet at a point in the dog's belly. This dog would have difficulty walking. They would look better if they were more parallel and came from either side of its torso rather than a single point.

I prefer the new version of the character. The drawing is simpler and fits better with the simple style of the background. Yes, he looks a bit thin, but hey, some people are thin. Last year's model looks to me like he's holding his breath but this year's looks very natural.

Aside from the fact that we have probably all wanted to see either Mika or Guido in the altogether, this was easily the funniest RON game in the whole series. I didn't stop laughing.

Any chance of more RON games from you? There doesn't seem to have been much interest in making them recently.

Boo hoo! No one wished me a happy birthday last month  :-[ :'(

Well, I suppose it would help if I put my date of birth in my profile  :)  There, done.

The Orator:

If you play the game in a window rather than full screen, you can just click on your desktop (or do anything that removes the focus from the game window, such as click on another application) and the game pauses until you click on the game window again.

No problem. I've found a similar one -
Spoiler
when you are in the caves, you can ask the captain for the file repeatedly.

Hopefully this does not cause a problem anywhere.

You don't say what you want feedback on, so I assume it's the artwork you want critiqued. Looks good to me. However you might want to spellcheck the text in the final frame.

Yes, for what it's worth, there are three qualities required of a translator to produce a good translation:

* Having excellent knowledge of the source language (the language being translated from).
* Having the target language (the language being translated into) as their mother tongue, not just so that they get the spelling and grammar right, but also so that they know what turns of phrase are suitable for particular situations.
* A good understanding of the subject matter of the original text.

So the ideal translator here would be someone who has English as their first language, knows French very well and also knows the Peter Pan stories well and has some familiarity with nautical terminology.

This is kind of the wrong place to post this because it's academic now that the translation is under way (and I'm sure the translation will be fine), but I thought I'd mention it.

EDIT: I'm totally stuck in the mine I've asked about this in Hints and Tips and someone mentioned that

if you interact with everything, the game goes to a cutscene,

but no joy. I'm bringing this up here in case it's a bug - Marion? I wonder if it might be to do with

getting the box twice from the pile of stones.

EDIT 2: Yes, it looks like this is caused by the bug I have already mentioned:

getting the box twice from the pile of stones.

I went back to the point where I entered the mine for the first time, did what was necessary, and then when I came out of the mine, the cutscene started.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure I've done all that... I'll check with the game author that this is not a bug.

EDIT: Yes, it was a bug... I had

Thanks for the help. I'm a bit stuck again...

I'm in the mine and have found and opened the box, but I can't find the log/register ("registre") anywhere.

Un autre petit bug (another little bug):

Spoiler
In the mine, if you dig in the pile of stones a second time you find the box again.

On the whole, though, this is an excellently written game - not only are the graphics amazing, but the gameplay and scripting are top notch too!

Hm, I'm stuck...

Spoiler
I've given La Teigne the rum, but he caught me before I was able to get hold of a sword. Jamal suggests that I look through the spyglass, but I can't find one anywhere.

What do I do now?

Marion,

What beautifully drawn graphics - excellent job. Well done.

I've found a typo...
Spoiler
When you give the flagon of rum to La Teigne, he says "Il faut chaud" - I think that should be "Il fait chaud"

Well done Shonen-Ai on winning MAGS with your first game! I'm sure it would have been likely to win even if there had been other entries this month. Have fun thinking up the rules for May's competition.
