Ahaha, nice theme choice, I can't not enter this. Expect an entry....sometime soon.

EDIT:
Okay so, I know the rules don't say anything about video game characters but there was a show starring the male version of this sprite. So I present to you Super Maria!

With this as a reference.

Let me know if this entry doesn't work, since I didn't actually use the show itself as a reference.

Friends! Participants! Bored Forum Lurkers!

Yes! It is time to award the trophies (and alas the lack of time on my part means there are only three), so here they are:

The Golden Pillar of Seasons goes to
Pslim, because the idea of making Autumn emo was an unexpected but excellent fit, especially since this autumn here has been so cold and well, depressing. The main reason I liked this entry was because of the colours and pose, its got the orange and green of anything typically autumn, but the colours are done in a way so that the character still comes across as emo, and not a depressed festival-goer.  Or maybe it's a bit of both. Either way, I liked the different approach to the season.

The Silver Pillar goes to
Ghost, these sprites felt like they came fresh out of a game and represented their seasons quite well.  What worked for me here was their expressions. Autumn appears very down-to-earth and he is a farmer, both things that speak of traditional autum-ness. Winter on the other hand is mysterious, maybe to the point of being mischevous, and she looks like a sorceress. Brings to mind sudden winter storms that stop as soon as they start. Overall a great entry, would love to see what spring and summer look like.

And the Bronze Pillar (I applaud all those who have read this whole post so far)goes to
Ben304. I had to do it.  I don't think I need to explain this one either, it was just that funny.

For all you other punsters, whether it's a joke entry or not, do it anyway. Somebody will find it funny if not all of us, and it's worth a laugh.

Thanks to all participants for making this a great competition, take it away Pslim!

'Tis true,
I have an idea but have yet to find the time to pixel it out.
In any case, I reserve this spot.

oh wow. Um...I think everyone deserves a trophy. Because I'd feel wrong only rewarding just three of you  ;)

But we'll see.

Amazing entries so far, can't wait to see more :D

Since it's the 21st, and since I doubt anyone else will enter, it's time to dish out the shinies, no pun intended.

So, The Golden Glass of Warm Milk goes to Blue, for making me never want to go into my fridge late at night ever again. You never know, that thing might be waiting.

The Silver Glass goes to Domino for his interesting selection of snack food (I don't think I've seen a lobster claw in anyone's fridge in a long time, excellent choice)

and the Bronze Glass goes to Twirlly, with the delicious looking burger meal.

Great entires all of you, looking forward to the next competition from Blue.

So seeing as elementals and the like have already been done, you get to do a sprite version of a season.

Theme: Pick a season, make a usable sprite personification of the season, and have fun with it! Could be a man, could be a beast, could be...I don't know. You think of something.

Rules: No restictions, as long as it's usable in a game. Oh, and do mention which season it is.

Thank you Indie  :D

Expect a new Jam shortly

Okay, I know it's late but I'm reserving this space. This is just too good a topic to miss.

EDIT:
The original:

And the Emotions:

Here we have 1. Angry 2. Frustrated 3. Insolent 4. Sick 5. Mischevous 6. Annoyed

Oh wow, entires! (Haven't been able to get on here for the past few days, hence my surprise)
But hey, great entries so far. I do believe some trophies are in order. Four days or so left for any other participants ;)

@Blue: The outline shows up fine, not to worry.

It's late at night and you're trying to sleep, but all you've been able to do is toss and turn for the last four hours. And then it hits you: you're hungry. So, realizing your plight and the solution to it, you drag yourself out of bed and to the nearest kitchen. But upon opening the fridge, you are confronted with this:

But what is this, exactly? Is it the delicious remnants of last night's dinner, or just a few half-eaten croissants? Maybe it's not even food, but a ravaging mold monster. This is where you come in.

Rules:
Show what you found on your food hunt.
Ouline can be flipped or rotated, but no scaling.
Background is not required, but if you do include one, think fridge.
No colour limit.

Oh, and depending on how many entries this gets, there may be some trophies showing up.
And with that, go forth and make snacks!

Space reserved. I was inspired almost as soon as I read this.

Aww. Better luck next time.

Lions, Tigers and Ghost Rabbits! Oh my!

What can I say, I find Halloween inspiring this time of year. Test reads: Ghost Rabbit Hunter- Watch out: these ones BITE

Non-text version, in case the text counts as a violation of image outline:

Both images were rotated 180 degrees, colour range is something like 20-30, no transparancy 'cause I've forgotten how to use it.

I think this meets all the requirements...

At least whoever found Bigfoot buried him in a decent spot

And here we have....

The Forces of Nature!

First up, there's Willow Woman, with the power to cleanse the air of dangerous toxins! Easy Breathing for humans everyehere!
Next, there's Boulder Boy. Combined with his immense weight and terrible temper, he tends to cause rather large earthquakes. But only for the forces of good.
And lastly, we have The Incredible Wind Sock. Remeber those hot days which seemed unbearable until that cool breeze showed up? Then you have The Wind Sock to thank.
