Everything looks good!
Keep it up  :)

BTW : Did you say you draw the characters or did  you use a program to create them?

Hey Steve,
I'm glad you had a chance to check it out. I appreciate you letting me know about that bug you found. Do you remember in what room and at what part in the game where the game crashed and when you got the too many overlays error? I had this problem before but I thought I removed all of them. It has to do with the background speech still repeating after I leave certain rooms I think. Bummer! I guess I will have to check it out and fix it. Watch out! Potential version three in the making ;)  BTW thanks for posting I appreciate hearing what people think. I have put a ton of work into this and it's my very first game so any comments or suggestions would help me so the next one I make can be a lot better.

Hey Strazer,
Yeah that's a good point. I just figured the file size would be a little smaller in WINrar but now that I'm looking at it again it isn't that much different. Thanks for pointing that out  I would have never noticed that ;D So yeah I will see how much smaller the files are without the installer compressed and see how much of a difference it makes. I understand a lot of people still have dial up 56k connections and downloading small files like this can still  take a long time.

Oh scorpiorous it's totally cool I figured out some kind of way around the problem. (sort of...ok you got me...not really)  BTW thanks for letting me know about that template. What a great idea.  I'm sure many other people would find that very useful in ags creation especialy people like me who are new to ags and it's compatibility. I definitely will look forward to that becoming available :)

Thanks again buddy

Hey just finished playing your game! Pretty good stuff. Some of the puzzles were really tough (had to bust out the ags walkthrough for a couple of them) but for the most part I thought it was all done quite nicely.
A few things...
Spoiler
I noticed that if you get the fish magnet and swap it for the real fish before opening the paint can you're outta luck and have to start all over. Was this intentional?
Also it is really hard to leave the poom office in the first map of the game. I noticed you have to click on the streets hotspot before it lets you out. If you release a second version maybe you could just put a region there or make the hotspot bigger to leave the room.

For the most part I though it was a great game looking forward to playing the sequel.

Hey Squinky,
Just finished playing pirate fry two. Pretty good game I liked how you added all the  mini games to it. A couple of things I noticed though:
Spoiler

Coincidently I used a butcher shop and had a puzzle with a meat grinder in my game. What a coincidence that is. Weird? Also lol as a joke, I think you should have used a disclamer like: No animals were actually hurt during this production. Man, lol, the dolphin killing and parrot shreeding was kinda brutal but at the same time had me laughing quite a bit.

Ahh cool! You got some animation done. Everything looks good to me. I'm glad to hear that you're still working at it. Making a game takes a lot of hard work and dedication. That's something I just learned ;)

#37
Yeah, that mix totally rules!
It really sounds familiar to me too but I can't place them either.

Critics' Lounge / Re:Jewel Cases for AGS games

Yeah that sounds a little too big. I measured 15 cm by about 11.5 cm for the back portion of a jewel case. 12 cm by 12 cm for the front cover. Times this by two if you plan to have it fold out. Another thing I really recommend if any one plans to make labels for their cds (I did). There is this really good label making kit called Media Face by a company called Neato. It costs about ten bucks and it comes with tons of paper and pretty decent software for creating the cd and jewel case labels. I actually found it at a Target store (of all places). I made one for my game and it actually looks really professional. It also has a really good wizard setup program that just walks you through it so it's really easy.
Just thought I would let you guys know about it.
