A snowman is better than Turkey? I'm pretty sure that's offensive to the residents of that fine country.

Though to be fair, this snowman is quite cute.

In Tibet!
Oh oops, completely missed that edit. I'm sorry. You're right, it's Tintin in Tibet.

Interactive Fiction: You cannot take the frog.
Alternatively: What do you want to catch the frog with?

So, Baron, you think adventure games are shit. Got it.

My methods are fairly chaotic too, although they don't involve alcohol (maybe they should, at least sometimes). But I think at the core of every concept that has a shot of being done by me lies a mood. I need a mood, a feeling that the game will have. (which is why some game ideas even start from making music) Coupled with a concept of what it's about, how that is delivered and how it works it makes for a foundation from which everything else gradually works out. Lately I'm trying to learn to balance building a solid structure of the plot, events, the game world etc and letting the imagination roam free within it in perfect harmony. I consider both very important.

Also I agree with this:

Really, the trick is to stick with it until it's done or... it won't ever be.  Other methods are just window dressing.
But then, probably every developer who has done shit would agree with it.

Here's my very serious attempt at guessing Wyz's looks.

Have mercy on Ponch's lady... now she's going to get in one of these for sure.

This is amazing. Please continue making this.

And Anian and Armageddon, by all means your suggestions apply fully generally speaking, but in this particular context I believe they're unnecessary. ;-D

I have no mouth and I must scream.
But... but I thought you said "not pathetic attempts of games"!

And why is it cool?

Still worth playing, though; the concept is unique.
If only for that.

Judging by The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us... well, they have some taste and skill but I highly doubt they'll do GoT justice.

In the order of me recalling them:
Apprentice 1 and 2 had some really touching scenes that I found very-very heartwrenchingly sad and I gladly admit to shedding some tears.
How They Found Silence is quite melancholic at the very least. An excellent game too, you definitely shouldn't give it a miss if you're after sadder stuff.
Technobabylon series is dramatic and has plenty of sad stuff.
Mind's Eye is a drama plain and simple. Plenty of sadness.
Emily Enough and Merry Christmas Alfred Robbins are more grim than sad, but still, probably fit the bill fully.
PISS is also a drama so there's some sadness to be found as well.
McCarthy Chronicles has a dark and gloomy overall style.
I remember there being some really moving moments in Adventure The Inside Job too, even though it's quite optimistic overall.
Primordia also has a generous share of sad moments and is an amazing game.
And yeah The Cat Lady has more than enough sadness and is also a wonderful clever game.

This looks adorable and potentially hilarious. I don't even know if it'd be better if it didn't take itself seriously or if it did. Does it?

I don't like the joining the group requirement but screw this, I want to check it out and I'm sure as hell ain't spending money on hidden object games until I'm filthy rich.

Beat the game. 10/10, GOTY, would play again. (actually, I won't)

I sense some kind of subtle blur or bloom in there. I like it. I'm a sucker for that kinda shit.
I hope you get this done. And I really hope I get around to playing the previous installments before you do.

Were we supposed to post only adventure game related kickstarters (since the thread is in the adventure related forum)? Would be nice to gather specifically all the interesting AG ones in one thread :)
Personally, I'd post any cool games here. I thought, adventure games would naturally dominate the thread anyway, considering the tastes of the forum audience. And to me there's no real disadvantage to posting some non-adventure games along with them. But whether you make a separate thread or not is of course entirely your choice.

Lots of cool games of all kinds are finding their way to Kickstarter and IndieGoGo.  I'm very happy to see so many people realizing their dreams.
Me too.

For me its the referee.  The guy looks like a midget in comparison to the runners, he is dressed like a golfer from the 20s, and for some reason was made in CGA-style graphics.
He looks like a really random out of place inverted Santa Claus to me. Also I like how much the runners are stretched across the track, like if they're crawling in a very weird half-lying pose, dragging half their butt on the ground. It took me until now to realize this is supposed to be them kneeling at the start of the race. If I still got that wrong, laugh all you want.
