Glad to see you're back Esper! (I noticed you didn't mention me... you must still hate me. LOL!)

Saw it last night now for my G I Joe report: Lot's of explosions, unrealistic, predictable plot, & cheesy acting. A mix of Inspector Gadget, Mortal Combat, & RoboCop!

Worth $6 and 2 hours of my time... I think not!

If you KNOW it's a heat issue, (which it usually is with laptops,) buy a laptop cooler!

Why do people try to understand an infinite being before figuring out their own finite being? If we can't understand everything about ourselves, how the heck can we even BEGIN to understand God?

I donated $30 towards the DOSbox project... they helped me with a client years ago.

General Discussion / Re: I maded a video clip

That video was kind of a let down. Why?

- Bad acting on the kittens part... I mean, I really didn't believe that was a kitten, and I still have my doubts.
- The music did not match the environment.

Anyway that's my kitty litter scoop for ya.

I've just bought a pack of 3D glasses from USA just so I can watch your awesome background in 3D!

How do you do this anyway?? I have been very interested in trying to make a 3D website just for the fun of it!

Here is an image I made of myself in 3D:

Not sure what you mean by "intelligent"...

Everyone Loves Ramond
Kim Possible (animated series)

I am married with a family so the above work for me.  ;D

This is a cliche way to get the forums revived...

As a Catholic, I can't see how I can shut off religion and politics for the summer. My religion is a part of me and my way of life. The morals of my religion sync up with my political views. (I guess you can't separate church and state after all.)

It's sad to see people here that claim a religion yet don't stand behind it.

(This ought to keep this topic running for some time now!)  :=

General Discussion / Re: firefox issues

Firefox is no longer keeping cookies (if I understand it correctly).

My homepage is the AGS forums (of course), but whenever I close and open firefox, I will have to login again, even though it remembers the login information!

I tried changing settings, allowing cookies (already allowed), but in no vail. No idea what's wrong and no firewall, except windows one.  ???

Any ideas, please?
Uninstall the browser after you save your bookmarks. Make sure you do the full and complete uninstall with the loss of saved passwords, personal settings, etc. Install Firefox 3.5.1... it rocks!

I have yet to see any crashes or strange cookie issues. (Be sure you're not running CCleaner or some automatic cookie cleaning program. Also, make sure your settings in Firefox are not set to delete cookies on exit of the browser.)

It seems like a good idea, but I'm a little unclear on what exactly the site would be. What would the points be used for?
The site content is entirely up to you... so long as there is participation. Like a video game you play, points are like health, the further you go down the closer you get to "Game Over!"

If people want to stay connected to your site, they HAVE to participate!

I thought everyone here used Amigas to push pixels so beautifully?
MAC users unfortunately don't have pixel pushing software. (They barely have any games, for goodness sakes!)

Woohoo! Glad to help Ghost!

How about a site that REQUIRES the users to participate in whatever challenge that is on the site. What am I talking about? Let me explain:

1.) You get a few people to sign up to your "social" site.
2.) They have a quota of credits/points to maintain to stay active members
3.) If they don't participate or get behind on credits/points that they get for participation, their account get's deactivated. (Maybe you can flash a screen that says "Game Over!")
4.) Each challenge, discussion, or activity counts toward their participation
5.) This site would keep people trying to stay on the site (Sink or swim!)

What do you think about that?

PrimoPDF print driver works great for me!

To save yourself some time and headaches, try to restore to an earlier date. Some viruses break this option, but if you haven't tried... do it now!

1.) START -> PROGRAMS -> ACCESSORIES -> SYSTEM TOOLS -> SYSTEM RESTORE
2.) Restore my computer to an earlier time
3.) Choose a week or two before the incedent started to happen
(The computer will reboot and then it will tell you whether it was successful or not.)

Should this work, download AVIRA ANTIVIRUS, MALWAREBYTES, SPYBOT SEARCH & DESTROY, HIJACK THIS
Update each and every program and run the most thorough scan options.

Good luck!

Not sure if this one will qualify, but here goes...

I designed this a year or two ago, only utilizing a 16 color EGA palette.

You could take the hard drive out of the old computer, slave it in another desktop computer and burn the data you need onto a CD or copy it to a thumb drive via USB. (They have converters for laptop-to-EIDE drives used in desktop PCs.)

Or you could have a professional do it and pay lots of money for it... could be a headache for someone that doesn't know what they are doing.
