I've got a serious game planned out in some Word file somewhere, but my art skill can't do it justice, so yeah, that's probably the problem a lot of the time.

I made Earwig and Rode Quest 1 and 2 at work.
Seriously.
That job was great and horrible all at the same time and for completely different reasons.

My first was Ultima 5 on an old Tandy 1000.
My favorite was Ultima 7.

But that's besides the point.

My mom threw out all of my old boxes AND the diskettes. Halves of dozens of classic adventures, gone just like that.

Yeah, what I meant was, I was already keeping all my boxes with the disks and everything in them in mint condition, and then they decided we didn't need them anymore.

Ironically, I was already keeping my boxes in mint condition when I was eight.
Then one day my parents decided we didn't need them anymore.
Whee!

Once in a while I'll go back and play them, and yeah, the glaring faults are irritating, but I actually find it envigorating and inspiring at the same time. Remembering how I overcame annoying scripting problems and stuff, trying to figure out how I actually found the time to make games...
Fun.
Plus, like DG said, I make the kind of games that I like to play, so that helps.

Being a lefty, I spent most of my youth with black palms from all the lead and ink we used in school.

Funny story, the priest in my highschool saw me writing with my left hand one day and tried to force me to use my right, like, literally. He grabbed my hand and tried to make me do it. What an ass.

We used to have a real good time setting traps for each other in Duke 3d multiplayer.
Nothing was more satisfying than setting up a Holoduke and watching your opponent run in guns blazing just before you sent a rocket up his ass.
Or hearing the explosion of a well placed laser-mine in the distance.
Haha, good times.

I played it tonight on my brothers system, which can actually run it.
I put it on veteran right away, cause I wanted the suspense and all that jazz.
I'm blown away, that's all I can say.
Absolutely what I was hoping for.
Now hopefully the mod community will do some crazy stuff with it.
And also a free computer will fall on my head.

You need to be more optimistic.
Give your band at least a week to make it big before you start firing members.
