I'm currently burning about 200$/month calling my friend in Rome, so I'd love an alternative that didn't take so much food out of my mouth.

QuoteLet me also make clear, the chances of me making a fan game, the chances of me making a good fan game, and the chances of me making a fan game so good that it takes away from (in this case Sierra's) profit it so slim it's not even funny. I'm flattered though.

Actually, I believe the intent is to protect the quality and value of the original, not any potential loss of sales.
In other words, they're more worried about people making shit-ass knock-offs which diminish their brand rather than high quality projects which in effect are a type of free advertising.
Also, I believe it's the US that has a law stating that if you don't actively protect your copyrights, you lose them. Don't quote me on that though.

I believe Toon Boom is just for animation, where Flash itself has it's own scripting language for application development.

Basically, you should know what you're getting yourself into if you decide to use (C) material, and be prepared to do the right thing if it backfires on you, which Spyros did.

PS: I need a copy of Spyros' illegal game for my AGS collection.

I don't understand how anyone could be offended by this. If I create something then it's mine. If I tell you to leave it alone, then you leave it alone. Create you own stuff.
Then again, look at my sig.

Wow. So a game where rich people get all the advantages?
I'm already playing one like that. It's called R3aL L1f3.
It sucks, but I'm addicted.

You know, I always thought that SQ4 intro remake demo thing was a great demonstration of the capabilities of AGS at the time.
Stuff like that can go a long way to impressing non-believers.
Wasn't someone remaking the beginning of MI3 or something?

This did not help either my sadness nor my lonliness, and now I feel like even more of a dork than before.
Damn.

You know, zombie religion clearly states that eating a mans brain will grant you his powers, as I've previously mentioned.

Therefore...

I call shotgun on the brain!!!!11!!!!!1!!!!11!

I suppose women will no longer feel the need to artificially inflate them with potentially harmfull chemicals and junk.

PS DG -> I love you. I'm starting a fan-site for that movie, complete with fan-fic and furries.

I remember I was logged into the PQ scenario, driving around and exploring, when suddenly another car appeared, which was scary, since I'd never really seen anyone else in the game before. I chased him around Starsky and Hutch style for a while. We never spoke.

Awsome.
I used to go through the links on the AGS site all the time until they got baleted.
I believe a sticky is in order.

She's obviously not from Quebec.

I'd like just like to mention that I'm always up for some boobie talk, for those who would be interested.

Who would have thought of mixing ninjas and boobies, two of the coolest things around? Brilliant I say!

He was writing the alphabet... what!?
Man, I needed to broaded my repertoire of moves.

Gonzo -> Don't worry about it. I doubt most people know what they want to do when they're 18. Hell, I still don't know, and I'm 25 and have somewhat of a career going. Go figure.

River Phoenix was amazing as young Indy. He nailed the character.
Too bad the guy in the tv show was terrible.

I suppose it would be interesting to move the series on with a new actor, like in the Bond series, but man, would it ever be hard to accept someone else in the role...
#238
A great way to feel old is by realising you've played a lot of these games before some of the community members were even born.
#239
I can see Indy having some kind of protege tag along who ends up being the "new Indy".
I don't have a problem with that.

Wow, that's funny.
A couple of years ago I starting writing a comedy-horror game called 'Silent Night, Holy Crap!'.
Not kidding.
I hope yours is better than mine was turning out to be.
