Congrats to all the nominees.
It's good to see such high quality stuff coming out of the community.
I hope it gets even harder for me to get nominated next year.
Er, this year.
Whatever.
Woot on you.

Hey all.
My system is still dead, but I've managed to borrow a Mac from someone.
So yeah, I still can't do anything.
Ok, not true. I can do some graphics work and some writing I've been meaning to get into.
My internet connection at home will also be down for the forseeable future, so that's some more poobungies right there.
Anyways, thanks to everyone for their suggestions.
Anyone with free computers can email me and we'll work something out.  ::)

Thanks everyone.
Last night I turned the thing on and then... smells like burning... and then... looks like smoking...
Thank god it was only a RAM chip, but still, it leads me to believe that my problems are worse than I hoped. Unfortunately I can't afford a new system at the moment.
The thing about this that annoys me the most is that I avoided bringing the tv and stuff to the new place specifically so I could have some time to work on my games.
Maybe it's a sign.

My computer is dead.
I am at work now.
Help.
Here's the scenario:

- I moved. No big deal, no jarring motions, no throwing of things around.
- The day after I move I plug the system in, everything is fine.
- Ten minutes later the system restarts itself, only not really. I hear the hard-disks, and the cd-rom light comes on briefly, but nothing else. There isn't even anything appearing on my monitor.
- I reset a few times. Voila!
- Boots straight to BIOS, tells me that my CPU settings were wrong, which is dumb, because I've not touched them. I exit and boot to windows.
- Ten minutes later, it restarts itself again, with the same results, only this time I can't get it to boot at all, no matter how many hundreds of times I reset the system.
- I proceed to remove hardware and check cables etc... everything seems fine. All fans are running. No burnding smell.

This is not a good thing. I just moved and I have no tv. My books and guitar are all at my parents house for now. The Nintendo is getting old really fast. I am about to start scraping at my skin because I have nothing better to do.

Help me Olbie Wan Kanewbies, you're my only hope!

I'd look you up, but I cut my account after being bored for a month with hopes of them actually adding more stuff to do.
How are the vehicles that they recently added? I'm hoping they add a lot more content in the near future so I have an excuse to ruin my life some more.

I played for a couple of months and then ran out of things to do, which was annoying, since I'm a pretty big SW fan.
KOTOR on the other hand, I find to be a much more worthy Star Wars experience, if you're into that sort of thing.

I started playing last week and I'm really impressed.
The great thing is comparing what I've done to what my brother has done and seeing the differences.
Also finding out how much less evil I am than I hoped I could be is eye opening and sad.

QuoteYour name of Shawn gives you the ability to be creative along practical lines of endeavour. Your ideas can be very original and inventive. You enjoy being with people in a social environment. Your personal appearance is important to you, for you desire to make a good impression on others. Your pleasant manner attracts people to you with their problems and you are capable of offering practical advice, though you would probably not follow such advice yourself. This name causes you to be somewhat too concerned with the personalities, problems, and activities of other people.

There's some interesting stuff in there I suppose, but what really gets me is this:

QuoteVery Important Note on Choosing Baby Names!!
If you are looking for a baby name, do not choose a first name based on the short analysis given above. The child's first name must be balanced with:

the child's birthdate (inner potential)
and your family's surname (last name)
Please call us at 1-866-489-1188 (toll-free in North America) or 604-263-9551 for advice before choosing a baby name or visit our baby name page.

Phew! I almost made the mistake of a lifetime! Now I know better! I'll be sure to call and use their service to make sure my baby's name is balanced!

I think it goes without saying.

Anyways, I picked up the Survival Guide today. I will be sharing the info amongst my zombie brothers, so don't feel safe.

We have the knowledge. The knowledge is power.

I guess I better clear this up a little.
She's in Rome now and all of her electronics and stuff are still here (in fact, I'm taking over her apartment, so I'll be using them). I just need to order a DVD player online in Europe and have it delivered to her. The problem is that there seems to be no stores in Europe. I even think amazon.co.uk is fake, because it won't let me ship anything.
Do you guys have elves that make all your stuff for you or what?
#278
So I have this friend who lives in Rome and I'd like to get her a DVD player, since the one she owns from here in Montreal is no good to her anymore. Problem is, I have to make sure it's compatible with your whacky regional thingor over there, so I figure the best bet is to order it from a store out there. So... help please. Any recommendations?

I think that if they start to decide that adventure games should be more like Myst because they sell well, I will have to cut open my stomach and flush my intestines down the toilet.
