If you can't justify your opinion, then guess what? It sux.

Is 'poofter' a real insult? I'd like to know, because I've never heard it before and wouldn't mind being the first one to spread it around here.

Captain -> Amen.

The amount of time I've spent in the doghouse can be directly related to the amount of time I spent not cleaning crap the minute it was decided that it should be done.

Bloop

For the one of you out there that uses it.

I can't wait for a Star Wars movie. You'd think with all these games they'd have thought of it by now.

Wow.
This thread has given me a lot to think about in terms of character development.
It reminds me of the review I read for the new Tomb Raider movie that was posted on ainitcool.com.
Basically the reviewer said that the problem with the TR movies is that Lara is just a superhuman hero, with no flaws or personality. If you look at Indiana Jones, he gets into a lot of situations where you can tell he doesn't think he's gonna get out alive, and a lot of the time he escapes by luck. He gets hurt. He bleeds. You can relate to him. He seems relatively human. Lara on the other hand always has the right trick up her sleeve. There's no tension, no feeling of 'phew' when she does anything, because you just expect it of her.
Interesting stuff...

Heart of China was under the Dynamix label.

My favorite part was shooting the snakes.

And Roberta had Scott sneak in all those raunchy sex scenes when Ken wasn't looking.

Of course, they don't show you that ten seconds earlier Jack tried to cop a quick one with his left hand, and that's why it's incapacitated.
They also don't show that ten seconds later the same fate would befall the right.

I agree with evil. The gold and the blue will look really sweet together.
Otherwise, I say use number 1, for simplicity.

It's really, really good without the lens flare, but I have to agree about the double text.
I don't think you really need the text at all, personally. I think if you center the graphic, it'll speak for itself.

If it had a breast, I get one.
Or two.

Threesome. Oh yeah.

I didn't mean he should make use of the low-techness like that because it's a handicap, I meant more along the lines of, if it's gonna look low-tech, then why not use it creatively?

Holy crap. I missed this until now.
Very nice.
I would like to contribute somehow.

Yeah, do a short. Look at how much attention that 10 minute Batman film is getting now. Insane.
I mean, it's good, but a little fanboyish for my tastes.

Anyways.

I'm assuming you're using low-end equipment, so use that in the film, like they did in Blair Witch. Maybe have one of the characters filming the action him/herself or something.
How about a movie about a bunch of teenage guys sitting around in a bush, trying to get a look in the window of a house where some girls are having a slumber party? It could start out as horney teenage stalking, and by the end maybe they're all crying and opening up to each other, saying how they just want their mommies or something.
Just go nuts.

Garage -> I don't know if it's wise of me to point this out, but I don't use a credit card for Ebay. I always send money orders.
I also loved those catalogs. I remember staring agonizingly at the entry for Space Quest 3 in the catalog that we got with KQ3. I must have really been obsessed, because my dad surprised me with a copy of it once it was released. I still can't believe it disappeared over the years...

The Motherload

Wow.
Judging from the pictures I'm assuming some of the manuals and stuff are missing, but nevertheless, SQ3 BOX!  ;D

I'm a graphic designer?
Why?
For some reason I got the idea it would be a creative and rewarding field.
Nevertheless, it's better than doing warehouse and delivery work, which is what I was doing before. I took a look around and saw all the 40 year old people doing the same job as me (at 19) and decided that changes had to be made.

Have fun guys.
Just how remote is the cottage? If it's at least 15-20 miles from the nearest town I can easily get some of my 'friends' to dig themselves up and show you all an Evil Dead good time.
