Direct X and Virtual PC aren't romantic?

*snap*

Wait... a... sec..

Fog of war... clearing... women... starting to... make... sense...

*fart*

Aaaaah.

Now, what was I saying?

Don't forget, I get the rights to all unpublished choonz when you blow yourself up.

90% of Rode Quest 2 was made using VPC6.
It's pretty spectacular, but it's sloooow and won't emulate direct x as far as I can tell.
Also, res lower than 640x480 won't work (which is ok for AGS, because you can run low res games in 640x480 anyways).

Not Palm.
Palm systems are too slow for that kind of stuff (though the newer ones are much faster).
Scumm VM works with Pocket PC systems.

No prob CJ, just messing with ya.
Besides, I'm still the master of AGS IN-EDITOR ICONS!  ;D

I vote for the old icon. :) (yes, I'm responsible for making it. :P )

Haha.

Anyways, is there any way to create our own templates for games? I think it would end up being a lot easier for noobies to use custom guis and things if they didn't have to insert code and all that, though it won't really promote any actual learning.

I'll go.
This is in Montreal, right?

Way to go Even.
Don't forget the little people. (Mandatory reminder in this sort of situation)
Also, don't forget, I still want to be a Stormtrooper.

Man, I've really got to get in on these.
#653
Ok. Moved.
I'm up to my chin in boxes, but I managed to drag out the comp and router.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Okay, thanks Jimi.

I've fixed that bug, as well as added Jimi and Relight to the credits as Bug Hunters.

That's probably gonna be the last update until my move is resolved, let me know if I managed to mess anything up when I remade the zip. :)

Heh, that wasn't even RK2.

I've got like, two series going here, the main one which is a trilogy of sorts, and these little 'Quest' side things.

RK2 is currently going through a creative cleansing. I'm making a list of things I hate and things I like, and if I can fix any of it.

Anyways, thanks for the great comments.

I'm moving tomorrow so things are gonna be hectic for a while. I may not be around to answer any questions or anything, so if something pops up, er, ask eric.

Hey, thanks a lot everybody.
I always say I make games for myself, but it's a great feeling to know other people enjoy them too.

Tim -> My last post was when I uploaded the fixed version. Well, fixed until Relight gets his hands on it anyways. ;)

Relight -> Yeah, the sound thing is definately an issue, unfortunately CJ can't replicate it, so he can't fix it. At least we know it works fine on most peoples systems, if that's any consolation.

Thanks guys.

Ok, it should default to english again.

Sigh, who'd have thought releasing a game could be so much work.... :P

Quote- Great cartoon graphics, very stylish, very professional
- Great attention to detail, (screen displays, rusty's ears)
- Cool doors opening (I think I know your problem)
- A funny story and dialogue and messages
- Might be nice for the 3 hallways screens to be 1 scrolling screen
- Midi volume too quiet, no sound control
- Brilliant GUI and inventory!!
- Puke-O-Meter "gimmick" good idea for game (no yellow? )
- You forgot to disable tab->inventory
- Some incorrect apostrophe usage
- pig latin translation file doesn't work for me

Thanks for the quick feedback. You spotted some stuff my beta testers didn't (ahem).
- Why thank you. I wouldn't call them professional, but I'm pretty happy with the style.
- I discovered while making this game that my strength lies in detailed short games. I love adding stupid little things like that, but if the game is too big, then I get fed up fast. Good to know someone appreciates it.
- I'm admittedly not a very brilliant scripter. I did my best on that one, and it works most of the time, so I'm happy for now. Maybe I'll fix it in the future.
- Thanks again. Judging your own humour is hella tough, so I just go with what comes naturally.
- Heh, maybe next time eh? :P
- Ok, you and I are of a rare breed, because I also have this problem, but no one seems to believe me. For some reason AGS likes to cut down my midi volume. I don't know why, and it doesn't seem to happen to most people. What sound card are you using? I'm on an old SB Live Gamer or something. Every AGS game does this and I've just grown to accept it.
- Another thanks. I originally had something else in mind, but this worked out much better I think. My goal was to try to keep everything on screen at once, while not taking up a lot of room.
- Just another one of those details I threw in.
- Eek. Thanks. Fixed in the current zip.
- Grammar is not my forte. (I bet both 'grammar' and 'forte' are spelled wrong there) You should have seen the stuff that actually didn't survive the beta tests.
- Thanks again. Fixed.

Great feedback. I really appreciate it.

Here it is.

I started this game earlier last year, and then shelved it until a few weeks ago.

No, there is no text parser in this one.

The Download

Screenshots Etc...

Enjoy.
