*bump*

Sorry to bring this up, but this game looks so good.

Just wondering how it's coming along. :)

By the way, what progrm are you using to make those backgrounds?

Just like it says.  Here is some main theme music for some CC.

I have a tiny tiny tiny bit of autism (about 1%), and I have a little bit of OCD. Both are genetic.Ã,  I was really hyper from about 1st Grade to 5th grade, but I'm proud to say that that's all changed

I had surgery to replace 2 hearing bones with a titanium alloy a year ago, and I got my tonsils out.

My teeth suffer from Misalignment Position, but treatment is underway (and it sucks).

One of my best friend's older sister, and one of my younger sister's friends have diabetes.  They are doing great (although I haven't seen my friend's sister in a few months because she is abroad).

Just finished. It was great.  There were a ton of animations, humor, characters, the whole thing was excellent.
The bonus section was awesome, too  :=

Even with the hint system, I still can't figure it out!
I must be a genius!

General Discussion / Re: Locking topics

*Lock*

Just kidding.

I'm probably wrong, but sometimes some really entertaining topics come up, but they stray off topic, so the mods lock them rather than delete them (for people like me to enjoy).

Aside from those instances, I don't really know.  There should be a documentary, "Inside the Moderator's Mind".

I'm bad... in a phycological way.

I decided to write a template.

I call it "AGS Left and Right Click Open Source Template", or "ALARCOST".

You know how a lot of people want to know how to write games where "Left Click" is Interact and "Right Click" is Look?  Well, I've decided to feed the masses.

Left click is interact (talk, use, useinv), and Right click is look.  That's all.  It's a very simple template.  It has the code for the mouse-clicks, and it has a small puzzle, too (so you can test it in action.).
This was made for people who want that kidn of mouse interface, but don't want to script it.  Size is 640 X 400.

Get it here.

Read the readme, too.

Have fun.  :D

The exe file is compiled whenever you save/test the game.

Ã,  Look under the "Compiled" folder in the game's directory, and you will find what you seek.

Edit:  Also, remember to send everything in the folder, not just the exe.

I love swing, I love acid, and I love latin jazz.  I love all jazz.

I just finished a 3-week Jazz course at the local college.  It was a ton of fun.  We had theory, appreciation, recording and electronics, big band, small combos, all sorts of stuff.

But the best part was this one course, for just the guitarists.  It was a Jazz guitar improvisation course.  I learned so much, that I had to forget stuff to make room for the new knowledge.

Jazz is awesome.

And releasethefrogs, I've never played Pleurghburg until you just mentioned it :)

:o  You haven't played Pleurghburgh?  Well, no wonder you have twitching a lot lately!  You must play it now!

Once you play Pleurghburg, you will realize how similar the cutscenes are. :)
#134
Hehe.  I like it.  I really enjoyed the game.  :=

I liked the graphics, especially the Roger paintover.  His house looks exactly like my house, so I really felt a sense of security throughout the game.

The best part was the cutscene.  Definatly Pleurghburg-Inspired, right?

Good game.  Keep it up!   :)
#135
Yeah, but it was a little different than most of the games.  I kept on getting confused.  It could have turned off some people.

A few related Peeves from me:

-No Custom Cursors and Character art

No matter how good the rest of it may be, these things seperate it from a great game, and a game that didn't have a lot of effort put into it.

-Like it's been said before, no-skip speech.

I read really fast. :P

-(Big one) Having a long, non-skipable intro before you reach the "Load-Start" screen.

Aaackkk, now I know the real Perils of Poom!

mätzyboy, instead of having left click walk and double-left click interact, simply let single left click do both. If you click on nothing you walk, if you click on something you interact.

matzyboy:
If you want to do what Esseb said,  I made a script for someone that I still have.  I could give it to you if you are interested.

Oops, I must have meant some other game then. I downloaded about a dozen to try out, then deleted most of them, and am still playing Garfield and Larry Vales.

Were you thinking of No-Action Jackson?

I think the best GUI is 7DAS.  I'm trying to figure the scripting out right now :P

Go to the "Global Messages" section of the editor.  Click on a slot, and type away.  Then use that slot number in the messages window.  :=

I think it's about time that we know what each other's workstations looked like.  Let's see what you got. :)

General Discussion / Re: Jealousy
Wed 11/08/2004 05:54:52
I don't get extremely jealous over people of the opposite sex, but I do get jealous over various guitar-related issues...
stupid foot pedal breaking warranty not covering powerful foot stomping down too hard then my friend gets a $500 effects box...

I guess I'm a 5..Ã,  or a 4... no, 5. nice, rounded number...
