I liked BS3, because I had fun playing it.

I liked playing BS3 too but some of the puzzles were really annoying.

There are pirates and islands in all 4 monkey islands. how original. Is that what you're saying??

Monkey Island got kinda boring after the second installment, don't you think?

And the cinematic camera...I love that moving camera.

I loved the atmosphere and feeling of BS3. It could have been a terrific game, now it's only very good.

I think that you should add some more instruments into the song, and make it a bit longer.

Those two solos do a remarkable change!

Anyone else? Some c&c?

I like the new version, especially the drums. But there's a "humming" noice in the background (guitars?) that IMHO should be toned down a bit.

The tune would fit perfect into an action scene or similiar.

What disturbed me was the idiotic bugs that I came across and the obvious box puzzles. It was no fun playing George when all you had to do to save the world was to move boxes and jump around a lot.

Actually, I didn't make these for a game. I just made them for the fun of it. You're right though, the first song does sound somewhat like a chase scene. And I did just randomly kind of place drum beats and hope that it sounded good.

I spent a little more time on the second. I like the sound of it also, and I might try to make it into a longer piece. I don't know where I could use it though.

I need practice so that I can make music for a World War II Adventure I'm currently working on.

A fun thing to do is to just experiment with sounds and see where they lead you. From there you can create the room, situation or whatever that you "see" when you hear that particular tune. The horror-tune could easily be used in catacombs, dark corridors etc. I bet there were a lot of those in WW2 for instance.   ;)

I don't know what might be typical WW2-music but I wouldn't throw in all the drums I could find in that particular case. Maybe some flutes? I think I'm going to experiment with some music on my own, what program do you use?

Piano, irritating drums and guitar harmonics sfx.
Well, what do you think?

Wow, that's a really nice tune. Not too irritaing and I liked the piano together with those drums.

The first song:

I don't know what the scenery will look like (although it says tropical party) or how the mode of the particular room will be but it sounded to me that you've just thrown in all the drums you could find and hope it to work out.   :)

It sounds as it's in the middle of a chase of some kind...

The second song:

This one I liked a lot. Although I think there's room for more "creapiness" to the tune. Try maybe make it even slower?

If you got MSN messenger, add me, and with luck we hit the net same time and I can advice you a bit. I got some experience (sp?) in that ;)

And ofcource you can PM me if you're desprate (sp?)...

It's spelled "desperate".    ;)

I find it a great help to have a friend who sits by you. Although my friend and I almost knew nothing of scripting we created small wonders together on the screen. A little bit of forum discussions, a little bit of manual help and voila! EGO walks and talks.   ;D

but if you really need it, I think you answered your own question, just draw a few squares on a piece of paper, I can't see how that would be any harder than having some tool on your computer.

I just don't think it's practical fiddling around with paper, I have enough of that stuff from school.    :P  I guess that has to be the way to go after all then...

Cut off my legs and call me Shorty but I thought this was kind of a technical issue...   8)

There is a tool for keeping better track of your scripting, I was wondering if there is a tool for keeping better track of your rooms as well? When you have one or two of them I guess it won't matter, but if you have like 20+ then it can get confusing after a while.

You may of course draw all the rooms on paper and make notes, but I think it would be easier to have it in a file on your computer instead.

The problem is that it just takes an artist's eye to know what to draw and what to leave out.
This is particularly true when you're trying to trace a face, and moreso for a female face.
I think the more detail you put in the more likely it is to look ugly.

It's going to be a lot of trial and error for you, basically.

I'll just have to give it another go and hope for it to be better than.

The girl on the picture is my girlfriend by the way. I don't think she would be very happy if she saw what I draw this first time.   :o

After having a go at tracing it myself I think i have determined the source of your problem.

I think it's your shyness to draw small details, try a more detailed trace. And simplify it from there.

Can I see the result of what you did?

Well, my confidence in tracing is still somewhat bad like my drawing skills overall.

So could you maybe help re-do some of the stuff?

I stink at doing graphics... As you can see.   :-\

I've made my first real drawing in Photoshop using the tracing from a photo.  I'm not really satisfied with how the face looks, maybe someone have suggestions how to improve the picture?   ???

I would really like to hear all the comments and critics you have:

I like her shoes and how you did the face with the lush hair.  :D

What I did react to was her arm. It looks kind of over-sized and "thick", try make it thinner and a bit smaller.   8)

I'm a real noobie when it comes to drawing graphics. The best thing I've done was a children's book and an image of balloons that didn't look that well in the first place so this came really in handy.

Although I liked Eric's tutorial very much I must say he explained things "too fast" for me. Small steps lik Increator did was perfect.  :)
