If you'd read the manual on icons then yes, you would know how it works :|

it's 32x32 16 colour.  and must be a proper ICOn file, not a renamed BMP.
#1542
AGS does yes, just name the icon USER.ICO and put it in your game folder I think.

I thounk you're asking for some resource hacker type program though.

Looks like a photo..  Especially the water.  Try copying some colours and textures frm a FoA background.

Probably not, no.  You could try Windows 2000 professional if you can get that, it's what I have and I prefer it to XP.

If you're really stuck you could try installing 98 again and see if it still happens, just to make sure it's a hardware problem, and it certainly sounds like one.

I don't think big characters are particularly slow, unless you use the transparency effect on them, then it'd get slow.

A large 640x480 style character shouldn't be too much of a problem.  As long as there aren't loads of them in the same room.

I would LOVE a giant glowing 'God Bless america' flag in my garden :(

Nice pics hotshot and Ghromak :)  I wonder what the puzzles going with those BGs would be ;)

there's no reason why it shouldn't..
what exactly is stopping you?  Is thre an error?

What a great question! OMG that's just the best.

Have you tried saving a room as room10?  ;D

What made you think there couldn't be more than 9?
#1549
Yeah maybe, because MYVAR is only created whn the interaction is run I guess.
Try declaring it at the top of your room script.

What, a smaller way of storing video than AVI?  I don't think there is one.. DivX would be the best bet for avi video I guess.
Animated cut scenes are big whatever, that's why they usually come on CD.

Well it should worth within -2,147,483,648 to 2,147,483,647  ._.

I'm guessing you're not making a pinball table so there's probably something up.

Most of it would be really hard in ags, best using an RPG engine.

AGS doesn't have a tile engine to start with.

Ah :|
I pressed menu.. thinking it wouldn't quit my game.. I thought the quit button would do that ;)

Ah well, I guess I'll start again when I have time.  And get the new version

Seems like a fun game so far, just started playing after watching the tutorial.

A few minutes later.. I love it :)
Good work, best non adventure AGS game I've played.

Still not sure how most things work though ;)  Like cross pollination..

So just to clarify you haven't upgraded lately, this just started happening?
Is it on all apps or just ones in 3d?

I had the same problem, but I just moved the GF2 MX away to the bottom PCI slot away from the heat of the processor (it was a PCI version) that fixed it.  When I opened it up it was all really hot inside so I'm sure that was the reason.
#1556
Yeah I've had similar kind of problems but due to overheating or underpowering.. have you upgraded recently?  Could be something else though.
#1557
iddle? lol :|

Don't worry wOoDz he's like that in #ags IRC all the time.

I've been studying some Japanese animation style lately, I think it'd work quite well.. plus it's not quite as much drawing work as other styles.
Some of it can look quite generic even to me who hasn't seen a lot.. but when it's good it's great.

Didn't you notice the 'Download Wave File' bit?  Doesn't work in opera by the way..

I prefer that one personally.

heh, smudge tool madness :) but I like it, it's pretty.

I don't think the coordinate system is that confusing.. although higher precision would be nice at righer res, so it would be nice.

Rendering lights and shadows?  PSP does that?  I know it has a light rendering effect thing.. but you could just paint the light into your bg and use regions for lighting to a similar effect.

If you want accurate shadows cast from lights, well that's impossible, since the characters arent actually 3d and the engine wouldn't know what to cast shadows on to unless it was a an actual 3d scene.  A simple static shadow under foot is probably possible though without too much tough scripting.

Anyway, good luck with your game, I hope it is as good as the best, as you say ;)
