I used Beos for a while, I like it..  but since it's not used much there won't be an AGS port.

By the way, if you want small filesize images but at the original quality save them as png.  It doesn't produce artifacts like jpg.

Are you sure you're not just confusing the scaling up with making your image different?  Antialiased lines automatically look thicker in low res anyway.  If the screen from AGS is the same then there's probably no problem.. are you saying this is a different effect to when you zoom in to about 300% in your paint program?

The whole image is scaled up at low resolution so that's why the lines, and everything else is bigger.. unless you mean something else.

Stupid kids, I remember when we didn't need walk cycles at all, the game told us the character walked up and we believed it.

Ags has a random function
Random(number);
gives a number between 0 and number
so if you wanted to do the 5 fingers picked randomly thing you could do
int fingersup = Random(4)+1;
and then ask the player for their guess and compare them
if (playerguess==fingersup) {Do the stuff for if they got it right;} else {do the stuff for if they got it wrong;}

it'd work something like that anyway

While just repeats a block of code until a condition is not true, like

i=0
while(i<100) { Does some stuff; i++}

that would do some stuff 100 times.

or you could make it wait while a character is animation with

while(character[ego].animating){Wait(1);}

best way to find out is to back your game up then convert it, if it doesn't work the same then go back to the old version.

I think that would probably be ok.. it's not exacly hard to find on google.. but as a puzzle make sure it doesn't actually require the person to know the ingredients beforehand..

Play Little Jonny Evil for a bomb making to open a door puzzle.
Almost anything goes as long as it's done with the right attitude, if your game was about making a bomb to kill some tourists in a cafe then it'd be bad, if it's just to open a door in an adventure game that's fine, you shouldn't worry about offending people.  You might want to stay away from making it too realistic though, just in case.

Looks better,  I think perhaps you should put a little fog in, at long distance.. and maybe tone down the jaggedness of the foothills so they blend with the ground better. I like it as it is though :)

There's only a couple of games I havent looked at the solution for..

I don't enjoy being stuck for days just trying everything 3 times, it usually happens at least once.  As long as I only use it when I've been stuck for a very long time I don't find it detracts from the game at all.

Well I don't like Larry games personally.. I am currently lost in LSL 6.. but, I don't think it's a matter of opinion that they are well regarded among lots of adventure gamers.

Leisure Suit Larry are classic adventure games, you'd be praised for making games like those..

As long as you put a waring on you can have sex or nudity in games.  That's why theres a Sex/Nudity rating thing above each game on the games page.

Geocities doesn't allow hotlinking, which means although you might be able to we can't download it with just a link like that.
