@304: Do you throw in the values at the size you posted the sketches, so it this the thumbnail approach or is this a resize of all your sketches?

this looks very sweet, but is there enough blasphemy in it? No idea if I want to play a monk... ;)

1a. I'd be interested in participating, provided the timing suits me: yes

2a. The best time period for me would be: ~month with progress over weeks
2b. The ideal duration of the activity for me would be: 3-4 weeks

3a. I feel comfortable with the concept of composition when it comes to paintings (as in giving and receiving critique regarding it): I feel like that, but that doesn't mean anything, so receiving critique is good!
3b. I feel comfortable with the concept of values when it comes to paintings (as in giving and receiving critique regarding it): see above
3c. I feel comfortable working with thumbnails when it comes to paintings: nope, I never do that
3d. I feel comfortable giving critique in general regarding other's pieces: sure

4a. I would be interested in providing a tutorial in some area: dunno
4b. I would be interested in participating/help in some other area: why not.

5a. Some general thoughts/suggestions: let's do this!

I won't solve this riddle anyways, but number of letters for the solution could be helpful.

this is great news indeed! Congrats on getting it finished and on steam!

1) Anke
2) Jim Reed
3) Mokho

Close runner up by Bohnito. It's funny how Zoidberg and the Predator are fighting against each other in this compo. I guess the predator would also win if they face each other someday.

Imagine a european living in Syria, living there for 15 years or longer. He decides to come to europe to fight a war, kills some muslims, aymbe terrorists, maybe civilian and comes back to syria. Will he be a hero? No he will be on some wanted list because of the murders he commited. This example probably doesn't work this way around. Just imagine you are living abroad in a country where noone is shooting you on the streets when you are out to get some milk, and this country is in war with the country of your origin. That would indeed make me crazy!
Then again, this is about sweden, and sweden is not in the nato, I don't know, are there any swedish troops in that hot zone in the middle east because of whatever humanitarian reasons there could be for military? Or did sweden even declare war on some country far far away?

So many good entries, it's really hard to vote for only one for each category, but here we go:

Concept: Sox
Artistic execution: Daniel Thomas
Playability: Anke

I think this is the first time I'm entering one of these music compos. Have fun decoding this very meaningful and true hidden message! :-D
clicky loady

To get closer to the hidden message, just open it in some audioeditor, for example audacity, and change the view from wave view to spectographic view ;)
in audactiy you do this by clicking on the name of the file in the track view...

To make a completely new font (or edit an exiting one) you need a program like fontforge.
You can also download a font from the internet and then read up all about fonts and ags game in the wiki article about fonts. Sources for fonts and how to convert truetype to ags compatile format and everything else you need to know is covered there.

correct :)

Spoiler

the symbolizing is thought to go
cake = pie -> pi (now that I think about it, dropping the e might have needed another clue)
period = times -> x (as in 7 x 7 = 49)

church signal
Spoiler
baron is on track for the church signal, you already mentioned the solution to that part (I won't tell you which one... yet). When in your life do you get buried?

cake period
Spoiler
about the cake period. replace it with synonyms, and change these into symbols. Was that too obvious?

hah, good, that wasn't too easy :)

and if your are feeling adventurous (which I assume), have a stab at this nerdy puzzle. Totally unrelated, but then maybe there is a connection, but not intentional ;)

actually you don't have to fiddle around with the audio at all or reverse it or so. It is all there in plain view, but it depends on your view at things...
yes, that was a hint, but hopefully not a a giveaway.
