when adding a comment on a game in the DB you get redirected to the game page afterwards again. When deleting a comment you are stuck on that "comment deleted" page. I'd prefer to get redirected to the game page again as it is common (for me at least) to delete a comment and just after that add another comments with typos corrected and more info or whatelse I want to edit.

Can we have spoiler tags to hide some text in game comments?

I'm really surprised no one here has mentioned the typical 320x200 or 640x400 resolutions.

old lucas arts games were in 320x240
I thought the old LucasArts games were in 320x200, but due to the size of pixels on monitors back then, you need to stretch it to 320x240 to avoid the image from looking squashed.
Wait, I'll check... yep, I'm right. The backgrounds for Sam and Max were 320x200. So it's safe to assume that the rest of the games (except CoMI) were also in that resolution.

you are right, I have no idea where I got the 240 from. I edited my post to not confuse people reading this...

old lucas arts games were in 320x200, use this, or use 320x180 for a widescreen 16:9 resolution. Or multiples of these, like 640x360. pixelart works better with a width of 320, while bigger screen widths are better suited for painted backgrounds or vector art or rendered or what have you...

edit: numbers...

General Discussion / Re: the blender 3D thread

I like the "smaller pores" in the previous version better than the latest version. Maybe get to masking out some areas and mixing these two skin shaders. The lips look pretty good.
The area with the eyes needs some improvements, the eyebrows and the eyelashes both look strange. Are the eyebrows even hair or a texture? And the eyes are too damned dark inside, where there are shadows in the eyes should be white, reflection and some small veins.

looks like a 3D render of some weird wheelbarrow, a wheelbarrow that transports corn and flour comes out at the end or so :)

So you have a script for a huge game that is totally fleshed out? I'd say go for that, I'm struggeling with writing down everything beforehand, but if you have it already no need to be shy about it.
If you have a huge script but fear the amount of backgrounds you have to draw for it, well, cut out stuff that is not really neccessary. Or aim for some episodic format. You then can reuse the walkcycles you already did. and revisit known places you don't have to draw again.
In case you are starting from scratch and don't have anything fleshed out at all,... well, think of adventure games like a book, some writers write novels, while others write short stories. Guess what, a small game is more like a short story. If you can write a novel then for all means make a full game based on it. If you are just beginning mamking game, start small, this is good to get used to the engine and the medium at all.
