have you hacked my HDD to check on my gameideas that I have to turn into a game one day files? But besides the basic idea not much has happened. If the next month's MAGS is about a futurama game which is basically a big minigame about a simulation to run your own moon on blackjack and hookers I'm getting really worried.

Well, I made it past the crowd, talked with everybody there, got a cap and my free coffe, but don't know what to do now. And I can't just leave because nothing is happening besides the hockey game.

And yeah, the game is beautiful, eh. I've never been to Canada but now I feel like I've lived there my entire life.

edit: rechecked, seems to work...?!

why are there no railroads crossing railroads out there. Now that would be really dangerous. Also crossing tigers with giraffes yields some dangerous results, for people that are used to hide on trees from tigers, but I don't know how to make this into a usable background image...

How do you know the switch is happening when you can't see what is happening with cCharacter2? But I just used the same approach for a cutscene and it worked just like intended, though I refer to the new player charater by cCharacter2.Walk(... instead of player.Walk(... but that shouldn't matter.
I see nothing wrong with your code, but to track some more of the offscreen happenings (maybe there is something wrong with what is happening off screen, but it doesn't look wrong at all), have you tried setting the viewport with SetViewport(x, y)?

For ensured hilarity I hope you lend your own voice to Nancy? :D

You need the SetBackgroundFrame(1); function, not GetBackgroundFrame(1); ;)

contact the seller? If possible buy the same item from another seller?

vector animation... sounds interesting :D

btw, I hope to see this in future AGS games as an easter egg (or main character in Dance Dance AGSolution clones, or with an OSD head...), as this is the thread for it, so it is free to use in AGS games, just gimme some credit... :)

just like the old prince of persia animations were done, by tracing videoframes. And then of course improving where needed. And with way too much time...

this was the original, with 20 frames and not so smooth looping (watch the right foot or his hands for example), so I added another frame in between and also changed movement a bit to fit to my likings.

a bit late to the party, but do I wins dis threads now?

4 colors, 21 frames :D

thanks for your help, but it didn't work that way.
Only saving it as gif with background, then copying every frame from the animated gif into a new file, removing the background and animating it again did the trick. When saving as gif with background, then just removing the background and save it as an animated gif again still had the trails were in the final gif. And when saving as animated gif without a background the trails were there in every frame, even when opening the animated gif in Photoshop, creepy stuff. I don't know why this happened but now it works. Stupid workaround, I'd prefer a checkbox in the save for web dialog that ask to refresh every frame or something like that.

I have an animated gif and use save for web in photoshop but somehow the used frames don't disappear and are shown under the new frames. There is transparency in the gif and so you can see the old frames. When I save it with background it works fine. In photoshop only one layer is shown per frame and there are no settings left to check... how can I make the gif refresh the canvas?

I prefer number 2 now. The higher contrasts work quite well, even though only the top third uses a different background and the rest is still the grungy wall, and a dirty grungy wall as background may be the thing for website background but maybe not so fitting for classical music. Why not use the waterdrops image for the complete background?

Just a thought: Why is your composer name on another element and thus 'cut off from the piece' while the performers are still on the brighter part? Either have also the performers on another part (and therefore in a brighter fontcolor) or I'd try to move your composer name to the bright element too and maybe put it in between the dot on the i of Piano and the S of Story for stylistic reasons. Might also look completely bs, dunno, but I'd try it at least ;)
And I'd give the editions musica ferrum logo a subtle glow to make it stand out from the darker background. Or have it in white and give it a shadow with 0 distance.

Also the 'piano stories' letters are a bit to the left from the total middle.

who did manifest these squids?

Looks like a  fun to play game. Hopefully you have all the fitting action themed music for all the dramatic story events, like... even bigger squids appear and attack *music gets faster* :D

just look at the gamenamelogo on the very top of the thread. This explains a lot already ;)
#3497
to be quite honest they all look more like bookcovers for books with notes and chords in it than a CD cover.
Go grab a good cam and take a pic of four hands playing on the piano in a cool angle (from the side all over the key, straight from the top...) and use this as a background image and overlay the artwork.
have you written the piece or why is your name twice on the cover?

You learn something new every day. This confused me too as the manual really does it the one way and sometimes even within the same paragraph also the other way. Thanks for this topic :)
