how do I find out the audio channel ID? I defined them as global variables with names, not numbers.
I allowed 3 channels for music, so are they numbered in the order I start playing music in them? And do they start with channel ID 0 or 1?

nice! Now make a model of everything else around you and post it in the show your desktop thread! :=

This is looking quite spectacular, I'm thrilled for the game!

There must be a very busy carpenter in the world of Kathy Rain. All doors to the left look similar ;)

I'm using AGS 321, set the enforce new style audio scripting to false, but how do I set up the channels to be shorts that the tween module can fiddle with? at the moment my audiochannels have names not numbers. Do the channel numbers start with 0 or 1?

cool game, the graphics are really interesting especially towards the end. And I cracked up over the 'leaking data' :D

works fine in AE CS4 and VLC. Firefox stutters on it when played directly in the browser.
not that it should matter for adobe video editing software but I'd try reencoding it to xvid as this is the standard basic avi codec (with worse compression and more artifacts than avc h264 but maybe it works).

looks good.
To have the minimum at 1 you use
y=(0.5 * cos(pi*x)) + 0.5
for every other userdefined value for when the curve reaches 0 use
y=(0.5 * cos(pi*x/(x_value_for_touching_zero))) + 0.5

Tactical Espionage Adventure with thousands of lines of codec conversation... I would so play this!  :cheesy:

And yes, the time is for the first playthrough. If you don't screw up badly that is ...

Critics' Lounge / Re: It's back...

Cool. A lot better than the old one on which it is losely based! And since it is losely based on it and this is the critics lounge, here are some suggestions. The stuff coming down from the first R (in waR) looks not so good imho, when you want to fill this space, why not let the swoosh from the second W go under there?! There are some white outline missing on the swirl of the first W. And when the swirl is supposed to be throwing a shadow on the other part of the letter below, why is the outline darker? (same for the very last S) I'd keep it the same brightness as the rest when there is no shadow on it. And the outline on the A in wAr is too much and the shadow is in the wrong direction. Of course I see this only in 3x resolution, so yeah, good job!

The skyline in the tripod is also a cool idea, but why is the image antialiased and the tripod outlines not?

Code: css
background-attachment:scroll;
background-color:#colour;

*pedantic cough*it's actually #rrggbb since the codes are determined in a hexdecimal system from 0-F and so 2 digits (16*16 combinations) gets you the 256 colors you can use for each channel*pedantic cough*  :grin:
I thought about changing it to rrggbb actually, but then thought neither of it actually works and rrggbb sounds like an angry dog with a stick in its mouth offering you to throw it, but not giving it to you, so I thought screw it, nobody will point it out anyways and it is easier to understand, oh how wrong I was ;) :D

So my accuracy for posting in the correct thread is an issue that should be tracked  8-0

actually I just didn't want to start a new topic for this simple thing...

The one screenshot from Technobablon 1 caught my eye immediately... looks like replay value just to see how the trance now looks like :D
There is a typo on the about page: Technocrat Games didn't began to release...
The facebook button on the left is always stretching over the rest of the layout, that looks very off.
interesting blogposts, but when I want to go farther back than the last post there is an error...

To add on what MurrayL said, it's © not &copy , don't forget the semicolon, though you can let it out ;)
also
Code: css

background-attachment:fixed;

is what I prefer for gradient backgrounds that are very huge in height (higher than the biggest screens available at the moment). Another posibillity is to use
Code: css
background-attachment:scroll;
background-color:#rgbrgb;

and add the color of the bottom of the image as background color. But sometimes photoshop and firefox interpret rgb values differently, so there is a cut in the otherwise nice gradient, that's why I prefer fixed background images. And gradients in PS are strange anyways. You can use dithering on gradients, which looks better than undithered gradients, but only when using the gradient fill tool (hidden behind the fill bucket). There is a setting for dither on top of the screen then. Use the shift key for a straight line for the gradient and cut it like 3-5 pixels wide, not 1 px, so the dithered pixels actually work on the viewer. The filesize will be not that much bigger. Of course save as png. Maybe the dithering for gradients on objects was added in CS6 though, dunno...

In case you use a long bg image I'd suggest you add a section as high as you header image in the color of your header image to the top, that makes it look like the header is expanding and only in the middle there is something written on it. modern stuff and so...

maybe some php wouldn't hurt, it's way easier to manage your pages with php magic (includes work like a charm for reappearing stuff like the header with navigation and footer) and some SQL magic.

never played any dizzy game, but I've been dizzy quite often so coming from this professional background I have to say it really looks more like a platformer than what I would call an adventure game. I don't even know if I'm interested in this game. I probably don't even know why I'm writing this here... but thanks for reading ;)
