Murrys layout is great, but I'd rename the links for "Download Primo Parts Only (14 MB compilation)" and "Download Secundo Parts Only (13 MB compilation)" to "Download all Primo pieces together" (14 MB compilation) & "Download all Secundo pieces together" (13 MB compilation). Take the filesize out of the linktext and probably use a table the same with as with what follows below:

For the table 2 columns should be enough, like
"(Primo) If only he was carefree" (1.1 MB) | "(Secundo)  If only he was carefree" (1.5 MB).
and a small image icon of perhaps a clef on an arrow pointing down or a clef on a floppy next to each download link make it even more userfriendly.

Btw it's always good to have a description of what you are linking to in your linktext, not just "download" or "click here"

the night? the darkness? something like this?

There is a pixelhunt at the beginning? Probably right after you meet the guy telling you what is where in the second screen, as I couldn't find out how to continue after this encounter ... >_>

> tie canteen to backpack
There's already one canteen tied to the backpack.

damned, you are right, but according to the inventory it is only half full, so we should drink as much as we can get now and also take at least a full one with us. Or fill it into our own canteen to avoid deseases. And also food. And also no Stove and no Helga and Gretel, sorry miguel. We can probably cook with the heat of the sun and a mirror or so. Or et it raw, I mean I don't have to bite into it but our friend here has to...

put a black object over the area and set the baseline to below the lowest point of the walkable area (well, just have the black object reach below the walkable area...). You can even use alpha transparency on the edges in pngs to fade the character to black.

yep, it's a quick and dirty solution, the best way is probably using a room hotspot and disabeling the click on the object.

In the meantime, I was wondering if this was possible below? While clearing the dynamic sprite away with magic pink, is it possible to also add a "shadow" underneath where the grass is cut, so it acts like the vid below in photoshop? I'm guessing I'd have to make a copy of what section of grass is being cut in the room's rep_exec, displace it downward, fill it with a dark green shadow color, blur it and then set the opacity to like 50%...then redraw the grass over that?
When you get the blurred cut gras with no sharp edges done, just have another layer under the gras with the shadow color and cut out from that layer what you cut out from the gras layer (and a bit displaced like a shadow would fall)...?

you mean we slept longer than just one night until we found out that all our comrades are gone?

General Discussion / Re: One Free Kill
Wed 21/11/2012 20:24:32
I would kill the person responsible for the one free kill policy so this madness is stopped. Revolting enough?

About the 'the family of the victim is after you' problem, maybe once you killed your enemy you start to like killing people just for the thrill of it and kill them all. I mean, if you are clever and there are no whitnesses and you are cold blooded enough who will stop you? Or kill 'him' with a carbomb and 'accidently' the whole family is in the car.

Another idea with less code is to place the object like it already is, start the game and then screenshot the scene ingame and cut the area you want the object to be from the screenshot in a painting program and use the cropped screenshot as object. This way you can still have other objects with pixel perfect click detection. The downside is that when you change the background image around the object you have to change the object image too. And with animated objects it can also be hard to do ;)

and there I was so sure it's the correct answer. All these christmas tree sellsmen hoard their precious female trees outside their houses...

use global variables. Either use bools and set them when your character picks up the item and/or gives it away like hasfound1 = true; given1 = true; etc. and then check with a condition for these variables. It is useful to write down a small table of all possible combinations, write conditions for the useful ones and use else for all other conditions.
Or use a simple integer variable for each item, like item1use and have it start with the value 0, so this means not found, when found set the value to 1, when given set the value to 2 and check this in a condition when needed. For this you need less variables, but maybe you have to write more confusing code for you as the variables in the condition are not 'speaking' and thus harder to reread...

yay, smells like a new technobabylon </fanboyism>

I like the man (regis?), dunno if the square hole at is knees is neccesary
the woman looks nice too, her angled arm in the front view looks a bit thin on the shoulder and therefore a bit thick on the ellbow. In the side view her face looks not that nice as in the other views and her foot seems 1px too flat and also has heels only in this view. I guess it's hard to show the heels in the other views so I'd get rid of them in the sideview, but this will surely take away some sexiness when she wears just normal boots. And her butt looks a bit big, either for sexyness and also compared to the backview. And what Andail said, the shoulders in the back view are gone compared to the other views.
