I got this in my vimeo newletter that probably a lot of you also got, but maybe someone is interested and needs a video editor for his filmings :D
Sadly this is about non-fiction, so here is the brief in copy+paste
QuoteCREATIVE BRIEF

Focus Forward films highlight exceptional people and world-changing ideas that are impacting the course of human development, changing our lives for the better. We are looking for professional quality 3-minute stories about visionaries and thinkers and in some cases everyday folks who have brought a quantum leap to human progress by their efforts and inventions. Your film may encompass anything from jaw-dropping medical advancements to renewable energy breakthroughs; open-source architecture to the development of wireless technologies in Third World countries; computer programming wizardry to sci-fi-worthy robotics; or any other sphere of art and knowledge that inspires you. We’re especially interested in the accomplishments of inventors, engineers, educators, surgeons, scientists, techies, artists, programmers, backyard tinkerersâ€"i.e. anyone making a difference, utilizing their skills and vision to innovate, share their work, and help sow the seeds of a brighter future.

Submitted films must be three minutes in length, suitable for all screens and all audiences. Be sure it is clear in your film what the innovation/invention is (and/or the person responsible for it), as well as what its significant human impact has been. These films can be narrated or purely observational, interview-based or expressionistic; HD, film, animation, and mixed formats are all welcome. Be creativeâ€"think cinematically. A selection of Focus Forward films will be distributed and shown all over the world and up to 100 semi-finalists will be featured online at www.focusforwardfilms.com in the fall of 2012. The Jury Prize finalists will be announced in December.

Click the 'Films' tab above to see examples. New films by our award-winning professional filmmakers are now available and will be added regularly.

looking really good, but as you want some c&c I'm gonna nitpick :)

I'm watching the woman in 4x (thanks for that feature!) and see there are some frames with 2 empty pixels between her legs. This probably depends on the ingame BG but over the bright forum BG it looks strange and I'd fill it with the dark shade of the trousers.
Also as the belt thing stay where it is and doesn't move back when going down it seems like her bum suddenly grows fat.
And the belt around her breasts disappears on some frames.

About the guy... I have nothing to add that wasn't mentioned before besides it looks uncomfortable to bend down like this over all, but as you are rotoscoping this must be a rather natural move.

as we can't access the computer without a password...

>say screw you computer and take the one working fuse with you to power something more important and accessible...

also as itemspace it getting rare... do we need these 11 plugthingies? Maybe we should store them where Emma is.

Oh how I wish you were modest ;)
But I'd like to try the batman game. I like jumping and running AND grappeling! And also the batman sprite looks cool :)

still haven't played the first one... will there be a price drop on the first one or a bundeled sale? This is looking very interesting.

hmmm, I was looking at this pic and heard some dial up sounds in my ear/head/imagination. Probably because my mind figured there some blocks in the pic were still loading. Please give this machine dial up sounds in the game :)

it's cool that the game list is now in the new style. I think there should be a better way to browse the list, which means: more links. Under the prev page next page line there should be a line with ALL page numbers just clickable there, with only 15 pages this is not that space consuming and just use a small font and we are set for the next 20 years in AGS gamemaking and only one line of pagenumber links. And it makes browsing the list so much easier than clicking next all the time or fiddeling with the url.
And also a line for ever letter in the alphabeth that has a game starting with it and a link to the first game in the list. Don\'t forget about the # and the ever so popular @specialcharacters at the start of a game name.
and just a small thing (but probably a bigger code thing): would it be possible to sort the game normally by alphabeth when sorting by rating from best to worst?

keep up the good work on the page :)

what about a film with an IMDB rating above 8? If you are feeling really good... above 9 and scifi.

If you want to make almost any type of 2D game I suggest Game Maker, I made quite a few little games with it in just over a week.

and you don't post a link to it?! You are either very modest or the games are very crappy ;)

*sigh*

this is just a lazy computergame after all...

>open ingame terminal

Code: WHAM Games ingame terminal - Breather
Code: AGS

}

avidemux, virtualdub (and vdub mod) and kino are mostly used for cutting video, encoding a video to another codec (e.g. mp4 to avi), editing another audio layer to a video or basic video effects (fade in, blurring out a TV station logo). I prefer avidemux for these tasks, but really advanced video editing with mindblowing effects is more a thing of after effects (or maybe cinelerra, but I haven't tried it... yet).

some more software you'd like to try

how do you set the erasor tool to the pencil brush? How is the pencil brush set called? I only have a square brush set that comes close to the pencil brushes and that also erases with some low opacity left and I have to double click to 100% erase a pixel.

btw, by now I always use the selection tool in a 1x1 px size to erase pixels, I figured there might be a better way.
#3715
when pixeling in Photoshop, how do you set the erasor tool to 1px by 1px 100% opaque?
I tried making a custom brush and even that erases only with like 60% opacity :P

the sofa on the upper left has a shadow in 2 directions and the shadow of the chair is way to huge. And give that rug a small fuzzy shadow too ;)
