Well, if you aren't worried about breaking the law, then refer to point #2:

QuoteThe best AGS games have been original stories, with the exception of a few that had an experienced team of people working on them, which you don't. Even if you could come up with a ripoff of one of those, it would be better than using the original.

Or just completely ignore it again, you know, whatever floats your boat. I think a Doug game would be cool, like the Simpsons game, but statistically if you make a Doug game it would probably look terrible because most new people who come here don't have the graphic art skills that are required to make something proffessional look NOT terrible. If you made your own storyline with your own characters there wouldn't be anything professional to compare it to, therefore it wouldn't seem as crappy. If you prove me wrong by showing that you are capable of drawing those kinds of proffessional graphics, then nevermind.

I choose none and suggest you come up with an original idea of your own. Those are all copyrighted names, and most of them would make lousy games anyways. The best AGS games have been original stories, with the exception of a few that had an experienced team of people working on them, which you don't. Even if you could come up with a ripoff of one of those, it would be better than using the original.

You should really correct that typo in your signature, that game isn't "to secret" for me, is it? Where can I find info about this secret game?

Now you've awaken travel lust when I consider that I've hardly been in a place without pretty beaches and white sand.

Likewise...

Yeah, and YOU TWO are jackasses. I'll see you in hell.

Actually we have the same here, but the water is muddy and the beaches are on lakes, so it's not the same.

When I went on a vacation I found websites that had flight fares at 1/3 the normal cost, same with hotels. Book way ahead, that's key. After that you've just got to be recourseful, drive when you can. I'm going to California in the summer with friends and I found that if I drive 6 hours north to Kansas, I can fly from there for $180 when normal flight fares from here are $450. Places like expedia.com book hotel rooms for much less than usual, but you'll find if you just call the hotel ahead of time and ask if they can give you a deal they'll give you the same price.

I guess since you're in England it's not the case.. but a good cheap tropical vacation here is to go to Mexico. Everything costs 1/3 what it does here and you can drive.

Haha, I'll just suggest one thing for Phil.. before you announce your new game, and try to get everyone pumped up for it.. do something. Make a background, a character, anything for that matter, and people aren't going to flame you.

Isn't there some way to protest the fine? In America you can protest minor violations and get small hearings, lots of times with fee reduction or withdrawal.

Many resturaunts here give free food to servicemen. Maybe we have the same law?

dont forget tomb raider and resident evil. those sucked too

I liked both of those. I only played and finished the first Tomb Raider game though, so maybe I wasn't overly obsessed with the storylines.

The Resident Evil movie was to me inarguably good because it had an awesome atmosphere. Marylin Manson did the tracking for it and to me it was really full of suspense. On top of that the effects were really good.

Only people who submitted their games through email can get the award...

I uh, no comment.

You picked THAT to quote when there was THIS little gem?!?

It is illegal for any member of the Nevada legislature to conduct official business wearing a penis costume while the legislature is in session.

What was it made with?

I can't post my mix to the thread for bandwidth concerns, so I PM'd it to you two.

I think eVOLVE's are better, personally. I love that laugh at the intro, haha.

Um, crap.. I already did one. Getting on IRC now I guess to see what's going on  ;D

Yeah, that's called shareware. If they wanted to do that they'd put that somewhere in their game I think. Trying to set up a central donation for everyone wouldn't work and it'd create confusion.

What kind of songs do you want anyway?

I think he'd probably already have a C compiler anyway since he's a programmer by proffession.. My school gave a few programming tools to me for free even. But CJ, I don't know why you won't accept money for webhosting.. that's gotta run over $100 a year, easy, doesn't it?

You bitch.

I think it would be somewhat of a novelty to have pixelated graphics coming out of an Xbox, the only advantage would be if you have a large TV screen.

My brother has a chipped Xbox and somehow put linux on it. If AGS has a linux port then there ya go, do that.
