I made some 3d rooms but it took longer than I expected because of pressing school issues, and this guy is way better than me anyway, so I'm going to keep them for my own game. Good luck! I can tell this could be an awesome game.

All three of these are cool, I like TechNiKyle best. I don't know why you include the Inc, I think that's kind of stupid.. especially for something completely maintained by one person and not an *actual* legal corporation at all. Even if you have a group of people working with you, it's still amateur and so the inc isn't necessary, or legal in the first place anyway. It would be like declaring myself "Dr. Shbazjinkens." It has a nice ring to it, but nobody is going to respect me for it without a Doctorate. It will take me 8 years to get that. Unless you do the paperwork, leave out the inc.

I really hate the guessing game too. It's another one of those aggravating things children use to get attention. I used subtle sarcasm before, but now I have this huge nagging desire to know and I can't help but drop to her level... Basically, I doubt you are going to be able to do this without some help, unless you have experience using graphic editing tools. If you don't, it is possible to learn, and I'd reccomend that because it's helpful for making adventure games (that's what this forum is all about). All you need to do is resize it to 60x60 pixels and upload it to a website and you're set. The reason for the anonymizer is that some sites block outside access to their image files, and this gets around it. If you post at the site I gave you you don't have to worry about that.

Email me if you need further help, I'd hate to see this go on for another week.

I think the world is overcrowded with awards for things, but at least in the grammys, emmys, tonys, academy awards, mtv, country music, fox, etc. etc. etc.... you actually get a physical award. I think one or maybe two award sites is enough. More than that is ridiculous, because every one of us has the ability to put up an awards site, make a mini "award" graphic, and throw awards at whomever we choose. I think I'll give myself a few, in fact. If people actually got a prize of some sort (besides the honor of placing your lovely 23kb of self-gratification on their website) it might be cooler..

Besides, do you think you could make the site a bit more attractive.. it's a bit low on the content and visual appeal side.

I think it's fine as is too, to use as an intro or background music to the screen where you select whether you would like to load, start new game, etc.

Very calm and peaceful sounding, adding lead tracks would take that away. The beginning of the lion the witch and the wardrobe was quite sad from what I remember, with them being sent away during the bombings and stuck with an old man on a rainy day. It was sad when they first went to Narnia too.

That's very cool that you took the time to make up your own kind of character. I do 3d stuff myself so I think it's interesting you're doing this. What program do you use?

You should put some filler around the eyes, just sticking up like that looks cutesy and you can't add eyebrows or a wicked looking nose.. really the armor hides everything you could change to make him look vain. Right now he looks very rich, and likely to die in a joust. (gold is very soft)

Why are the eyes transparent, btw?

Do you think it might be feasible to make a demo to bundle with the cd and press packs in January and leave a web address for a later full version? This would increase your website hits for sure, and the game would still be a part of the big picture.

As much as I'm optimistic about my background skills (I'll be mailing you one tonight) I still don't see this all coming together so quickly..

I liked the game.. I thought it was cool. It is an awesome remake.

The first adventure game I played was Monkey Island I, and I enjoyed it. The second was Quest for glory I, and I enjoyed it even more. This was in '91, maybe '92. I like the amusing death scenes and the way you could type stuff and get amusing responses to things you probably otherwise wouldn't see.

My problem with this game is that I've solved all of the puzzles I can find, and it seems like I'm supposed to grab this hawk outside of the dragon cave, but the guy can't catch it. Jumps right under it, with arms in air, and it flies away without me. I hate having to waste an hour on an interface problem.

There are plenty of programs available that you simply type in an IP and with no knowledge of hacking, they will accomplish some task. I remember messing with a friend back in win95 days with a program that would crash any windows 95 system with some insecure port.

You don't have to implement the complexities of the thing, just think up some fake program that does all the work for the gamer.

Those games at 1024 aren't created by amateurs though, likely. They probably use modern gaming technology with over a dozen programmers and graphic artists. This is just a guess, because I know there are probably a few amateur projects like that. This community is based on people with nostalgia for older games, the ones that always used less than 800x600 res. The engine isn't even designed for more than this. Digging through the archives of games, I think you'll find you can still enjoy a game with less res than that. It's all about whether the game is interesting or not in the end.

Your guitar may be out of tune, but the amp I built randomly makes these loud "WEEEEHHHHHH" buzzes in the background for whatever reason. I dunno if I should fix it or leave it and try to do this.

Notably, I shouldn't be so rude, but you didn't even make any effort to solve your problem yourself before posting (when it couldn't have been in a more obvious place). I looked through your other posts, and half of your questions are a waste of space. They are things that are just there to bump your thread like "help!!! please i'm still stuck!!!!" as if everyone here is just here to serve you and by answering someone elses messages they are insulting you. That isn't the case, if you would just be patient and ask concisely it will get answered. Nearly all of your posts that aren't a waste of space are still things that you are asking in annoying ways, and generally really easy to find if you would just look before asking. It almost seems like you are doing it intentionally. Stop being so annoying and learn how to use the website and google to your advantage. Anything you put in parenthisis in google, such as "Alien rape escape" will be found in that exact form and order. I had the website in 4 seconds. Give it a try, and browse through the whole website being sure to read anything that says "faq" or "help."

When you make titles, remember the hassle you got for using all caps and asterisks. Give a short explanation of your problem and nothing more. This was a good title.. but a great title would have been "Can't find Alien Rape Escape" or something.

When you ask questions, ask them clearly and get to the point, and then wait patiently. Don't add on to it until someone else says something, unless it drops back after four days or something. This is a slow paced forum, not a chat room.

Don't burst out cursing at people because they are trying to give you helpful advice on how to not annoy other forum members, even if they seem hostile.

Those three rules apply to every forum on the internet, you'll get along better for following them.

Please, a lot of your (50) posts could easily be answered with a search through the forums or http://www.google.com.. You're hitting the forums like a hooker that works for quarters. Just look at that 10 posts a day average! That's not normal. I don't say hi to my roomate that many times in a day.
