The C programming language.. if you're wondering what that means. It would be a code file.

I just realized most people aren't going to know what objectivism is.

Read some Ayn Rand books.

Aww..

No.

I got this one the first time:

And it doesn't fit either.

I still don't think I'll like these special disks if I have to dress up like a doctor and only use them in super-clean rooms with gloves on like that.

I read something in a PC mag awhile ago about transparent aluminum. I'll see if I can find the article on it and scan it.

It's actually aluminum oxide, melted at 1200 degrees Centigrade or so. It's considered a ceramic, rather than a metal. Search for "transparent alumina" in google and you'll find out a lot about it. It's stronger than steel, but can't quite replace it because it's brittle in comparison.

EDIT:
Gahh.. now it's doing it to me too.

I'll have to take a few pairs of Homer's glasses.

Change them overtly and often, but try desperately to look like you want it to be unnoticed.

Making them believe you have a personal bias works, the afforementioned scowl.

I got out of it by updating my license with my new address, in another county. I was also told that because I work inside the court house I would probably be dismissed. Also, I know the court clerk, so it wouldn't have been a problem anyway.  ;)

Now that I'm registered in another county, I have no way out if I'm selected, but what are the odds of that when I've only been eligible for two years?

Here's my entry. All made of highly modified samples, no generated sounds. Hope you like it!

did you want to animate the cloth, or just render a still?

Soft body dynamics have begun and are actually quite reliable, but the only cloth sim plugin I've tried ended up sucking ass. I couldn't get the results other people have gotten from it. Instinctive Blender (Linux only) has good cloth sim because it was developed by a private studio aside from the Blender foundation, and it's features are supposed to be completely ported one day.

The latest developments in Blender have been small catch-up features, export/import improvements, extrudable faces, edge selection, etc.

Makehuman (Blender's "Poser" plugin) has progressed to muscle simulation, one day it will probably implement cloth, but alas, not right now.

Besides, Max users tend to hate Blender.

What scotch said.

In Blender3d we use this python script:

mClick = c.getSensor("Left Click")
mOver = c.getSensor("Mouse Over")

if mClick.isPositive() and mOver.isPositive():

    ## Run Script ##

Which would enact a script after clicking programmed objects. The mouse sensor is built into the program and uses Zdepth to find the targets.

He needs a compiler, they're out there, you just need to search for them in google or something.

Seriously, it isn't hard to find freeware apps. I have this philosophy of only helping people who are going to help themselves, otherwise you're just wasting everyone's time.

Programming isn't something you just learn - it takes a lot of practice.

HowStuffWorks gives the basics and follows up with some links that will teach you more.

How C programming works
How Java works

Java is particularly interesting since it is multi-platform without any hassle. C can be multi-platform, but needs to be carefully constructed for that (Blender 3d is written in C, for example).

You define operators, variables, and etc yourself and use them in programming. If you really come to hard times you can always find snippets of useful code on sites that catalogue such things.

There are indeed free compilers (some open source). Do a google.

I have mine cut roughly every 3 months. It grows about a half inch during that time. I don't really mind whether it's short or long really, so I have it cut short and when it gets so long that it starts to curl inconveniently I have it cut. The picture to the left was a month ago, I think. I just had a haircut last week.

Dart, that haircut is awesome. Don't listen to this "reverse mullet" business.

Once, I had a real mullet. I don't like to talk about it much.

It doesn't surprise me that a seventh grader made a cruddy FPS. I've seen games in Blender made by 10 year olds.

It's gonna be way easier to do something in AGS rather than flash.
