The bios is a tricky thing to work with really.. you can screw stuff up if you go in there clicking on just anything. Usually though there will be a menu item that brings you to a list of stuff you can enable/disable and the onboard sound card should be in there. There may be two menu items like that actually, depending on the BIOS.

Grim Fandango is highly overrated. I never even finished it. Twas rather boring. (DOUBLE SNAP!!)

Go for teh bundle

Oh crap.. I just joined a game project making a Grim Fandango clone.

What should I do?

How old are you?

While I do have hours of time on my hands to make other people's games, unfortunately I'm currently in two teams and three might be too much.

EDIT:
I did, however, make you a bed.

What does interpretable mean.

Capable of being understood.

Somehow this doesn't surprise me, but I'm still cracking up.  :D

(Oh, how I envy you car dwellers)

Public transportation isn't an option for me man.. we don't all live in big cities.

Square dots at that, now that I look at it. Plus I think I understand better what you're trying to do now, sorry.

So you modelled and textured those in Poser? Or did you download them somewhere? It looks really impressive for a CG scene.

There's another thread about this that popped up a few weeks ago that was locked, unlocked, and forgotten.

I drive an '87 Honda Accord hatchback, no pictures, but if you search you can find some just like it. It's grey and it drives like a new car even though it's really old.

EDIT: I posted this before the threads were merged.

This is a case of posting about rocket science in a model train forum.. ok that's a bit of an extreme comparison, but seriously, how much do you think we know about this stuff? Find a good go-cart forum to help you out. It sounds cool, really, and maybe someone here would be able to give advice, but it'd be much more likely in other places.

Man, for a while I thought you were going to start making interpretable posts.

how would you plan on taking a screensaver and adjusting the camera angle and then saving it as an AVI file?

A screen recorder and a video editor (you could crop out the portion you need).

then you'll need to go into your bios and disable onboard sound

Yep. Done this before.

Onboard sound cards suck, they're like, this big |Ã,  Ã,  Ã, Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  | and they'll have sound written on them or something. Just hammer a small nail into the chip if the BIOS thing doesn't work out.

I don't mean to be a smartass, but doesn't Windows have a default screensaver that would be perfect for the occasion?

That is awesome stuff for being modelled in Poser.. I didn't realize it had the power for that.

Hehe, are you kidding or do you really not realize he will pay $500 for a MUSIC keyboard?

Well at that price, perhaps it plays soothing music for you while you type.

It doesn't, it just forces you to re-learn how to type on the pretense that you won't get carpal tunnel syndrome that way.

I went to a typing contest at a college while I was in high school and the whole room was filled with them, it sucked because I wasn't used to the "natural" keyboards, I only managed ~85 WPM on my last try.

can you do me a favour? it's really simple and it will differentiate you from all the other exclusives at E3...

Don't... Talk about the booth girls...

That's the only request I make... Good luck

Believe me, Eric, that's the last thing we're going to talk about...

Because you're all flaming heterosexuals!

Really nice site man, lots of good writers and amusing reviews.

If done correctly it works fine.. my University uses the internet to pipe phone calls and save long distance fees. They have multiple campuses, but only one IT office, so they have local numbers at the extention campuses that channel the phone calls to the main campus. They have quite a nice pipeline and a dedicated system, however.

Seems like your problem is low bandwidth, either on your end or theirs.
