I too am going to disappear for a while.  Not sure how long.  The main reason is I'll be completely netless, no phone line.  My stupid fault for not paying the bills for either of the two lines I had.

I'll be back before any games are ready, but I will have had time to make some significant advances.

Hopefully, I will be further along in my quest to lose my n00bness.  My game developing maidenhood, if you will.

While we're at it, I heard a rumor of AGS with full 3D acceleration, voice emulation software and a plugin that programs entire games for you. It comes out in August. I think, I can't be too sure because I really have no factual backing for this claim. If anyone has better information, please post here.

I've been here since December 2001 and I'm still a:
1. Newbie
2. Posts stupid questions
3. One of the dumbest members on this site
4. Cancelled more than 20 projects
5. I don't have a game yet, or a demo
6. Caused alot of personal problems
7. Most hated member next to Y-- "You Know Who"

And I'm not afraid to admit it. I've matured in the past 3 months. My whole family was diagnosed with severe Tuberculosis and Pneumonia. I've had to get a job to provide money for my parents. It's supposed to be the other way around. I hate myself now. I feel somehow guilty.

 If you asked Chrille for his PDA sprites, I don't think he would be jumping in joy.

 But you see, CJ has power over us. If he was to say " Sure, I'll make you a program like that. As long as no one puts them those sprites in their own game." Not one single person in these forums except Kickme, would do that.

 I've noticed that certain AGS games have .001 files, Pleurghburg. I've tried to open them, but it's beyond my knowledge. Who wouldn't want to rip Pleu-, I mean who wouldn't want to VIEW the sprites for Pleurghburg. I think someone "legally" should make an AGS game sprite ripper. Am I stupid for thinking this?

Can you use Costume Ripper for any view in the game such as the pirate spinning on the anchor in the Scummbar in MI1?

No. It is considered part of the background, therefore you cant rip it with a costume ripper, but you can with SCUMM Revisited.
