I mean those words written under your avatars.

I'm curious what do they mean, what did you put them there etc.

The reason why I took mine, is, to put it simple, that I've read some day the makers of Full Throttle took a little influence from the Biker Mice From Mars cartoon series, which I liked very much when I was a kid. Indeed, there was even a bad character called Limburger and a mouse called Throttle. So, it makes some connection with my avatar, showing a character from the series, Vinnie.

Um.

Hmm... hi and welcome!

I'm all out of the good ideas, so this time let's do something easy: some quotes from MadTV's Terminator 3 parody. Have you ever watched it? I know you have! And if not, it's even better! The rules are, as well, easy. Record the text using only your own voice. The winner will be decided by vote. Oh, and a new thing here: you can use some sound samples and, like in the previous compo, voice-recording software.

Hope you'll have a good fun and we'll have more than one entry! ;)

If you want to see the movie before, here it is: http://movies.yoyostile.de/?id=19. But please, don't copy the original - try to be creative. ;)

Text (J is Jesus and A is Arnie, the italic lines are my comments):

(the last supper, Jesus and all the apostles gather around a table)
J: Brothers, my time with you is almost over.
J: But for now,
J: Let us eat!
(Arnie enters the screen with a reloaded shotgun and shoots Judas)
A: Eat this!
(...)
J: You just don't get it, do you?
A: You have been targeted for termination
J: I already told you
J: I'm suppose to die for the sins of mankind
(Jesus heals Judas, he wake up and...)
A: I'm programmed to protect you!
(...and Arnie shoots Judas again)
J: Stop!
(Jesus is now frustrated, he also heals Judas again)
J: Stop killing Judas!
A: But he's going to betray you!
J: I know!
J: Look, look!
J: I've got a lot on my mind right now and you really trying to stress me out! Okay? Okay?
A: Pontius Pilatus at 10 o'clock!
(hope I don't have to tell you what Arnie does after that...)
J: Give me that thing!
(the screen fades)

Hasta la vista, Baby Jesus!

Thanks Czar!

UPDATE #1:

Okay, thanks for the crits and suggestions. I ain't able to come up with all of them, due to fact I'm working on paper and with traditional artwork. I sidestepped the proportions purposely -- it's a surrealistic work so I can. ;)

Here's the completed work, finished with crayons and edited in -once again- CS2 (colour edit):

Ink, pencil & crayons + digital edit

ORIGINAL:

Hi, there is a piece of my art I did today. Cute mechanoid chick inspired (more or less) by the works of the well-known H. R. Giger (I don't wanna steal his ideas, but just practice my drawing skills). I have to do a few of that kind for a certain presentation (I'm thinking of graphic studies) and, to put it simple, I don't know whether it's good or not. So, all the graphic artists, what do you think?

Ink and pencil.

Secundo, I don't know how to call this work so I picked the default name: "Surrealistic Graphic No. 1". ;) Any ideas?

Oh, and the bonus picture which I did some time ago. An armour with a helmet and two oxygen tanks, I decided to call it "The Parasite". It was pretty messy and unclean so I edited it in Adobe CS2.

Ink and pencil + digital edit

Thanks for your time,

Yarr! Remember my lastest grunt's portrait? Here's another one, now introducing RAIDER unit. Everything drawn by pencil and coloured in Paint Shop Pro 7. As in the previous one, as well this time I tried a cyberpunkish (surrealistic) style.

Yes, it's a next picture of the whole series, but this one's a lots better (at least that I think). Anyway, it'd be great to see your C&C here. Whaddya say? ;)

Hi! Yesterday, when I was feeling not so good and I was just bored, I've started working on some backgrounds for my first game's trailer. This is the only one piece of all the huge intro sequence.

This one (drawn first on paper by an ordinary pencil) is introducing a post-nuclear warrior with a helmet made of human skull and a leather armor on. I cut off the upper part of the picture (quite messy), but there was only something, which I'd call a beret (on the warrior's head) and some destroyed buildings on the background. Ah, for precise: these long black dreadlocks are just an element of the armor.

I was inspired by some cyberpunkish art and, of course, "Fallout" game. It's probably easy to guess why I've placed it here so... if you have a time and a good will, it'd be nice to see some C&C. Regards, Xarkh!

Hmm. . . Guybrush's lastest thread has simply inspired me to put some of my early guitar works here for you to some C&C. So there are two parts of my old unfinished song, "Szron" (which in English means a white frost), made for my project called Arcanus Mysterii (currently on hold).

http://www.geocities.com/arcanusmysterii/ags/intro.mp3
- an introduction, it'd be played at the beginning

http://www.geocities.com/arcanusmysterii/ags/bridge.mp3
- and an acoustic bridge, played in the middle of the song

Both of them have been recorded by me, by use of friend's electric guitar and my own bass, but there're some samples (sounds of waves and the horse neighs), taken from Internet.

I'm curious whaddya think?

EDIT No. 3: Added the right sideview.

EDIT No. 2: I've followed the ProgZmax's tip and downloaded Pro Motion, a software for pixelwork. It was my first try on this stuff, but anyway I think it's not so bad. Well, take a look:

Feel it isn't the last edit for this character. Things I've improved this time: face (I like that one on Prog's edit, but I don't want to change the previous personage of this character), leather (shading, as you see) and legs so simply everything. Also broaden his torso and legs by these 2 pixels.

So whaddya think this time?

EDIT No. 1: Ok, new shot here:

I used up the der.uwe's pallete and added the following things: legs, shoes, a metal rod in his right hand (also edited) and shaved his shapes (as well face) a little. Probably the head is too big now and something is wrong with his left hand. I'll change it soon. C&C would be pleased.

I think the beard looks wierd, but that could just be me. I have no idea how to improve it.

What do you mean by that? Is it better now?

ORIGINAL:

Hi! I was boring tonight (it's 12:30 AM now), so finally I've started working on a sprite for my upcoming game, Insanity (still the working title). After around 15 minutes of MS Paint work I drew this guy in leather jacket. . . and certain problem has appeared.

I need some advice, unfortunately I don't have any idea to do the legs good. Maybe I'm just tired after the whole day of work or something. . . Dunno. Anyway it'll be nice to see your attempts here. He's supposed to wear a blue or black jeans and some black trainers / shoes / boots (don't know what'll fit better).

I've posted the same request somewhere at this board, but nobody has answered me, only Pablo - it's too little though, I think. I'm copying its text and adding a few new words:

One of the reasons, why I've decided to sing-in and join this community is to improving my English skills, so... If you have a time and alacrity, please correct my utterances (it might be the best as quotes), where it's necessary. I wish you do that with every post, that I will write, but it's probably impossible... :(

I always strive as best as I can when it comes to English, but... you can't win 'em all.

Anyway, I don't want impose this upon you, so I count only on your good will.

Hope you answer,
Skurwy.

Hello there! This is my very first event, so take it easy. ;)

Easy theme this time,

cough, cough... "EASY RIDER. DAWN IN THE MOUNTAINS".

Try to musically portray a marvellous view of Alpine landscape at dawn, the morning sunlight slowly rising somewhere far away, and a smooth and empty mountain road where you just driving your new sports car... or some cool chopper (I mean a motorcycle) if you want.

Let's say it's a scene for some intro or something. ;)

Will it be a swift rock ('n'roll) or some funky song? Maybe a nostalgic tune? Why not? It depends only from you!

Have fun! :D

Ok, that's a fast pencil & PSP7 sketch and in-game character view.

At this moment I can only say that he's a prisoner who was condemned for the death penalty ;)

:=: "Look below at the post #19 for the new version"

It seems that the thread is already dead.

At first I want to welcome all of you, this is just my first post.

OK, this is my first background (small cell, carcer) and it need some critics.
I drew it on paper, then I did a "small" paintover in Paint Shop Pro 7.

(Image deleted, look below for the new version)

So, what do you think? ;)
